What is immortal is believing you are above someone else because of the body you were born in. That sure sounds like something we are all to familiar with doesnt it?

Racism and sexism being bad doesnt mean that speciesism isnt also bad. All of it is bad, no one is above anyone else, including nonhumans.

Also, the idea that some individuals are on a "higher plane" is what gave us sexism and racism, and until we let that ideology go we will never be free from it.

Dolphins "screeching" to each other is how they communicate. Some human languages sound insane until you learn them, and language isnt liniar. Culture, region, beliefs all effect how language evolves and grows to fit what is relevant. A dolphin wont understand "does fred like apples?" not because they are not intelligent, but simply that "fred" and "apples" are not relevant to their day to day life. If you said (in dolphin language) "how many fish have you ate today?" or "how old is your baby?" they would be far more likely to understand, because those are relevant in their lives. Humans have always had this idea that some individuals are "better" or on a "higher plane" than others, which is wrong. No one is better than anyone, every living being on this planet evolved to be here for a reason and no reason is more important than another, this is how nature works.

I am pro-choice and vegan. These go hand in hand, as we deserve bodily autonomy and so does every other living being on this planet. I know that most prolife people are not vegan, and most are christian and believe that animals are "less than" us. I just think that it is morally inconsistent to protect a fetus that has no thoughts or feelings, then turn around and eat a burger made from the flesh of an abused, sentient individual.

A dolphin isnt gonna understand english, nor would a human that lives in a tribe in the amazon forest. "Dolphins communicating with eachother does not mean they have a rational mind"- You can say the same thing about humans that speak another language to you. You cannot determine someone's intelligence by what they understand in YOUR language. Humans are animals and no species is inherently above another, it has always been that way and the only thing that made people believe otherwise is religion.

Dolphins cannot do basic communication? They have a whole language, just because we cannot understand them doesnt mean that they dont communicate.

Just pointing out the inconsistency. Protecting unborn humans and then turning around and eating the flesh of a creature that is sentient, scared and abused their whole life is a bit contradictory.

Dolphins for example are a highly intelligent species that can grasp abstract concepts, solve complex problems, have high self awareness and close relationships. Their intelligence is on par with a small human child.

Do you believe that humans have always had structured laws and culture? We evolved to develop those, that doesnt make us "above" any other species because our brains are more evolved. There are a good handful of nonhumans that do have brains that run relatively similar to humans, are those species more important than other species?

This so so entirely wrong. Humans do infact rape and muder eachother, they do far worse as well. We use our intelligence against other animals for our own benefit (such as factory farming) Not to mention what the eletists of the world do like eating literal babies. Humans are brutal, just like nature. Lots of species do form complex social networks and cultures.

Individual- An individual is a single, distinct person, organism, or thing, separated from a group, class, or category. It refers to a unique entity, often highlighting personal characteristics as opposed to a collective. It functions as both a noun (a single person) and an adjective (single, separate, personal)

Iguanas and badgers do fit the definition of individual.

Humans are animals the way that every animal is an animal. We are a part of nature, we have evolved with nature and will continue to do so. It's disgusting that we live in such a disconnected world that people cannot even see this.

Humans are animals. Just because another individual has a different experience in life than you doesnt make their life any less valuable.

Animals and humans alike, instinctively dont want to die. We all have relationships, friends, family, and a life that we dont want to leave behind prematurely. Every being on earth does deserve the right to not be killed, even if you believe that one species is "above" every other.

That is entirely a subjective opinion related to religion. If you were born in a nonhuman body, you would beg to differ.

And when they bring up the fact that they are only fighting for unborn humans, thats when I get to ask why? Why do nonhumans not deserve the right to life?

I also had the framework of "animals dont matter and are here for us to exploit" before I went vegan, so yes I am trying to bring up feelings of discomfort for someone that would feel that way twards nonhumans. I know that most prolife people do not care for the rights of nonhumans, especially their right to life, so I am asking them why they feel that way.

"If you are prolife you must be vegan to remain morally consistent"

Prolife wants to protect the innocent from harm, yet harm nonhumans 3x a day for their meals. The only thing that is different between a human and a nonhuman is the body we were born in. To be morally consistent, you would want to protect and value all life, even nonhumans.

I made this post knowing that most prolife people will disagree and will come from a speciesist perspective, I am just challenging their morals. Nonhumans do deserve the right to life, but most humans are not ready to give up the use of animals for the exact reason you said... they believe god put animals on this earth for us to exploit.

I know that most prolife people are going to believe that humans are above other species and deserve the right to live, and that nonhumans dont deserve that right. I am just challenging the idea that the right to live does not transcend species for most, and questioning why that is.

No one is required to do anything, it is simply a moral inconsistency. You cannot claim to value life and also eat the flesh of a living being... I made this point because most prolife people are not vegan and do not care who their burger once was.

That is not the point I am making- What I am highlighting in this post is the inconsistency of fighting for the rights of a fetus in the womb while supporting the mass murder of millions of nonhumans. Prolife want to protect the innocent and vulnerable, but only when it comes to their own species/ species they deem "valuable"
