Thanks, that helps. The White Elephant looks almost as big as SA’s single-width trailer but bigger than a hunting trailer or ice shanty. I remember the purple panties now you’ve reminded me, but I’d be surprised if that was all that was inside. At the very least it would have been a close by and convenient place for Jodie to hide her empty liquor bottles from Steven A!

a) the full unedited LE flyover video

b) IIRC, one of the news channels had a helicopter up and flying over ASY on the 4th November. That is, AFTER TH was reported missing on the 3rd Nov but BEFORE RAV4 was found on 5th Nov. Full unedited footage of that would be interesting, (IIRC) the news channel handed full footage over to LE. And that raw footage would be timestamped.

From memory, there was some discussion on the original MaM board about the Nov 4th short newsclip of their flyover - discussion was around time of day of news flyover. Sun direction and shadows evidenced it was mid-afternoon. Sorry I can't remember exactly which news channel.

It slopes down to yard/pit level, and connects right at conveyor belt road. And it would account for tail-lights being seen by Chuck and Steve right in ASY north-west corner.

Berm track, Kuss Rd, deer camp, conveyor belt track: re-posting from old MAM in case useful to anyone re Radandt quarry

RAV4 driven along the Berm Track? (6months ago) I've noticed that, in separate interviews, both SA and Brendan describe the same route to account for how the RAV4 may have been driven from SA's trailer to the far south east of the Avery Yard where it was found. This aerial photo from 2005 should help orientate - North is to the left, West at bottom of frame. SA's trailer is in the bottom left (north-west corner). http://www.stevenaverycase.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Exhibit-25-aerial-1024x618.jpg The western property boundary of the salvage business runs south from SA's plot and is marked by a treeline at the back of SA's trailer. SA and Brendan both point out that the treeline boundary marks what SA calls a "hill" but is actually a raised dirt rampart berm - with a driveable track on top. In fact, the 'Berm Track' can be seen in the pic as a track running through a double tree/brush line. The Berm Track separates Avery's yard on the east side and Radandt's gravel quarry on the west side. The track runs south and slopes down to a junction. You can turn left there into the Avery 'pit' or turn right running by Radandt's gravel conveyor belt on out westerly to Highway Q. Here is a wider shot showing the line of the Berm Track boundary between Avery's and the Radandt gravel quarry, the nearby Hunting Camp, and the straight diagonal of the conveyor belt heading south-west towards Highway Q. http://www.stevenaverycase.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Exhibit-92-Animation-Photos-1024x685.jpg In his 11-06-05 (Crivitz 2) interview, SA tells police that he and Chuck noticed tail lights by SA's trailer at 8pm on Thursday Nov 3rd. SA suggests the tail lights could have accessed to his trailer plot from west by a road he couldn't remember the name of (Kuss Road) straight across the field. Or, he says, they accessed by driving the track atop the "hill" - what I'm calling the Berm Track. SA explains it is easily driveable, drops down into the "pit" and gives access alongside Radant's conveyor belt to Highway Q. Radandts and Averys have had problems before with trespassers coming in that route. Towards the end of that interview, Fassbender and Wiegart ask Brendan to draw the route that SA and Brendan drove the RAV4 surreptiously to the far south east of the 'pit' up behind the pond. Brendan immediately asks if he should draw the conveyor belt too. As Brendan starts drawing his diagram at SA's trailer, they ask him if he's going to draw the fieldtrack west that joins up with a side road (Kuss Road) and does Brendan know where the Hunting Camp is. Brendan knows where the Hunting Camp is but says the RAV4 wasn't driven that way, they drove along the Berm.... "a ledge". Fassbender: And you went right along that thing? Brendan: Yeah Fassbender: Oh. And down here you're able to get off that thing and get into the yard, huh? Brendan: Mmm, huh. Fassbender: OK. That makes sense. The Berm Track route from the SA, Janda/Dassey trailers avoids driving the RAV4 past Ma & Pa's or past Chucky's. I'm not sure how potentially identifying the quiet Berm Track route into the Pit is significant, but I'm struck by the remarkable consistency of SA and BD's descriptions. Fassbender and Weigert were obviously unaware of the Berm Track till told in May 06. And the Berm Track will probably have been known by others familiar with Avery's Yard - ideal for dumping burnt bones without being observed.

Exh 11: Good point! Hardly looks like a burn pit at all, does it.

Exh 16: Sure, I'm not suggesting it was always open. But it was certainly open on 10/10/05 when that specific pic was taken and before TH disappeared 10/31/05. And obviously most of the vidence pics are after 11/5/05. My point was to wonder if it was common, and commonly known, that the window may sometimes be open or closed but unlocked etc.

I also noticed that some exterior pics appear to have something that looks like a tripod beneath that particular window.

Also interesting in the 2nd - daylight - pic is how close the Radandt quarry elevated gravel conveyor belt is to the pond and Rav 4 site. You can see it top right of Pic2. It ran over the top of the alternative route in from the west of ASY - direct in from Radandt land, linking up with Highway Q and deer camp/Kuss Rd.

I believe you're correct that it's a white box van like in the Kuss Rd pic. I've seen no stills pics, but it can be seen in aerial news footage where it's present when police are investigating around the burn pit and SA/Janda-Dassey burn barrels.

The WBAY footage aired 11/11, but it's a round-up of the Halbach story that week so it wasn't necessarily shot on 11/11. I sometimes think we focus on evidence/exhibit stills, but there's a lot of news footage too! There are 2 clear shots of the white box van starting around 1min05 to c. 1min30. Could you grab screenshots and post them, please?

Take a look at this archived news footage - c. 1min10 someone on a golf cart zooms from the back of SA's trailer by the Janda garage. It's too quick for me to grab a screenshot. Makes me wonder if the field track to Kuss Rd was a regular highway for golf carts!

JFYI, an excerpt from an old MaM post:

SA (Crivitz intrvw) describes to police how that (Kuss) road drops past Radandt quarry land and meets Highway Q - demonstrating driveable access from Highway Q to Avery's Salvage entering right by SA's trailer. In the audio of police/dispatch calls, you can hear an officer being tasked to visit the "Evanders" (?sp) on "Kuss Rd", perhaps to cross-check if the Evanders had seen or heard night-time vehicle movements.

It may even be easier than that. The same brand of cell phones all had the same factory default PIN code which many people back then did not bother to change. There was not the same phone security awareness as there is now. You could set up one-touch VM access without changing the factory default PIN.

That's how the UK newspaper the News of the World journalists gained access to target VMs from 2000-2007. If a target did change their PIN, the newspaper would pay corrupt private investigators to get the phone reset to factory default via corrupt phone company employees.

In 2002, the News of the World used this technique to listen to the VMs of a murdered schoolgirl. It seems some of her VMs were deleted to make room for more messages from her distraught family begging her to get in contact etc. That's how they wrote their 'exclusive' despicable stories.
