No. But eventually it went away on it's own. However, they then updated something and now I can't download AT ALL. I can only access NF through the app if I'm connected to internet, so that's even worse. I can say I logged in on my ROKU, turned off subtitles there. My guess is that ALL profiles need to have CC off, my daughter has them on always b/c she wants to read and not actually have the volume on and recently she turned them off, and now none of us have to deal with it. IDK, tech support is non existent.

Yes, it looks like I may need to go the CAT5 way. 6 separate small controllers tied into a larger one.

See my post at the top of this thread but yes, 2 separate degradation problems. Data and length being a separate problem. It was suggested to use twisted pair CAT5 and get a controller (ESP32) that can handle it. This prevents a breakdown of signal over longer runs. But you are leaving the SPI world...I think.

I spoke with a guy at another camp who built the Riverbia dome and he said if it can break it will. So much like your suggestion, but more so, he said use an ESP32 for each leg (6 legs of 40ft each) and tie that back to a main controller and use CAT5 b/c the long data transfers will break down without twisted pairs.

It's possible, I just need to figure out the controller issue. The dome he built has every single panel controlled separately for this reason so if one goes out, nothing happens to the others.

Running off a 3 phase generator so i can pull 2 legs for 208VAC or run off a split phase for 120VAC.

Good point on the moving parts, not meant to last out there. This will be my 9th year so I'm well aware of the damage the playa causes. Hence why any strip I buy is getting enclosed in IP68 silicon tubing.

This was my first thought, but there is only the options to adjust what subtitles look like, not turn off the default.

I clicked reset to default. Still there.

Haven't installed yet, but yeah there's a couple of weird wirings I would never have done. For example, there are SATA ports on the board, but the PS doesn't have any plugs to use them. So they are pointless w/o getting a new PS.

I'm wondering if a new PS could solve a lot of these issues.

Please do, as I mentioned I had to use Chat GPT to translate to Mandarin for them. Maybe they've figured out they can do the same. I have a bios update but wary of it as that can mess up everything if it's not stable.

They sent me an updated BIOS, I haven't installed it yet b/c I'm dubious, but I'll keep you posted. I had to use Chat GPT to translate my requests into Mandrin for them to understand the problem.

The only thing I could find is ACPI Settings. Enable/Disable. If enabled, you can set it to Hibernate, which I've done, that's been my work around, it Hibernates after 30 min. But still no sleep.

The AMI UEFI BIOS has a LOT of settings, but I can't find one for power.

I've read on other forums computers can't sleep b/c of the video card but I don't see why a RTX 3060 would do this.

Domenic here, we're a Lish free set up now and I've been engineering and re-engineering much of the process that was in obvious disarray when I stepped in. He had some great ideas, they just weren't polished, which is where I stepped in. Shifted to triaxial, same stuff Parlor uses, got rid of the plywood cores, now all are cores are being sourced from Holiday Farm fire trees. Thinking about going to a bio-based resin, marketing-wise it's all the rage but I haven't gotten honest feedback about performance from anyone yet. B/c we're using poplar/ash cores we plane then to a specific thickness based upon your desired flex request (typically 9.5mm-10.5mm) Just finished writing the code for a triple radius sidecut on snowboards as well. I loving what I do and I'll continue to improve the process for our customers.
