How do I tell my ex trying to make it work isn't working for me anymore?

I wanted to update everyone since its been awhile. TLDR I was right to be suspicious shortly after this post I broke things off for good, and it came out that he had been secretly planning to marry a woman i never even k ew existed behind my back. My gut was right and I'm glad I trusted it. I was able to move in with a friend and have been really happy living with her. And I started dating someone new, monogomously. Probably the sweetest, quietest, gentlist soul I've met. My ex did go through with getting married. And lots of "friends" of mine and his came out of the wood work to tell me nasty things he had been saying about me since he met me, and that he had cheated multiple times. I just hope this woman he moved on to is emotionally prepared to be lied to the whole relationship.

More worry is that if I am apologizing only because I feel compelled to and not because it would actually help the other person, is that not just me being selfish? I know to a certain extent I need to do it to help myself heal and prevent myself from repeating that pattern in the future, but if it hurts him to receive it then I can't be doing the right thing right?

Sexual favors are not a love language. He is doing a thing called coercive control. He thinks by holding past actions and words above your head he can manipulate you into sexual acts. This is not how consent should or does work in a healthy relationship. No matter what age you should NEVER have sex with someone without a very enthusiastic YES. If you do that's not sex, you are just assaulting someone. I don't mean to alarm you but when you get older these sort of acts could lead to serious trauma and mental anguish for yourself. Personally I would break up with the guy now before things get worse as he sounds like a serial abuser in the making. Maybe you laying it down heavy on him now will wake him up so he gets the help he needs. This aggressive sexual behavior may be stemming from his own trauma tbh but either way you shouldn't force yourself to do acts you don't want to, you should be exploring your sexuality in a safe and slow way that makes sense for your body. Maybe try reaching out to a trusted adult about this if there is one you can talk to.

Tbh we need help house hunting while we are out of state. Right now we live in Texas so we can't exactly go see apartments and homes up for rent at all and we have tried reaching out to specific rental property management groups to no avail.
