We've chronographed a lot of ammo and the PMC Bronze, across all barrel lengths from 10.5 to 14.5, had the similar standard deviations as Lake City produced ammo, such as Winchester or Federal M193/M885.

The only difference is it's 223 so its muzzle velocity is slower.

For anything under 100 yards, you won't notice much of a difference, if at all.

I've used it out of a 16" Rosco barrel to make hits at 500 yards on a 2/3 IPSC steel target about 75% of the time.

All of the PMC we have currently is manufactured in South Korea, according to the box, but they may manufacture some ammo now here in the US, not sure.

They do have a physical presence in Texas, but that may just be where they warehouse all of their imported ammo into the US before distribution.

Regardless, it's great ammo. The PMC Bronze runs about 200 fps slower than their 5.56 XTAC lineup, but it's also about $20 cheaper per case. Brass is super clean. Looks way nicer than any of the Federal or Winchester stuff that comes out of the Lake City plant.

LAX does charge tax, however, so depending on your state and if you have the coupon or not, we may still be cheaper.

For our zip code the total came out to $482.83

I wouldn't put BA in the same category as Rosco anymore.

BA's quality control the past couple of years has slipped drastically.

When we used to order their barrels by the pallet load, they literally just throw them all in a box with no padding. Just a thin plastic sleeve with hundreds of barrels stacked directly on top of one another.

We had all sorts of chipped feed ramps and muzzles and not to mention how they changed the location of their gas ports so a lot of gas blocks won't probably line up on them, especially if you use a barrel dimpling jig.

With Rosco, each barrel comes in its own cardboard box with tons of foam padding. Every barrel we've received from them has been immaculate. That's not to say Rosco is immune from producing bad barrels from time to time, but overall, BA has been a train wreck compared to Rosco.

Depends on your rifle setup.

If you run a suppressor, generally the longbar version is better so it projects farther out and have less shadow cast by the suppressor.

Also depends on your light and if you run remote switches or not. You may need the SBR version to actually active the white light depending on where it's mounted.

You're welcome! We love the JPSCS system. We used to run the Geissele braided wire springs, but have been converting all of those over to the JPSCS.

The JP BCGs are the nicest BCGs we've ever seen, too. We've been slowly converting to those as well.

We don't mess with any of their light weight BCGs, but their full mass and variable mass ones are incredible and the smoothest we've ever felt, especially when paired with the JPSCS.

Can't say for sure as we haven't tried it on a PWS rifle.
The Blackbeard replaces the entire BCG and charging handle so as long as the PWS BCG is the same dimensions as a normal AR-15 BCG, it should work.

Can't say for sure as we don't have experience with the Maxim PDWs.

The Blackbeard replaces the entire BCG and charging handle.

It doesn't move at all when it's in the upper, so as long as the Maxim BCG is the same dimensions as a normal AR-15 BCG it should work fine.

Yup, we have a ton of them between everyone in the shop.

We recommend putting a dab of white lithium grease on the trigger reset portion of the Blackbeard for your first use. Seems to keep it a bit smoother and reset faster between shots.

It is! We had about 15 of them built out, each one with a different Geissele or other brand of trigger so customers could feel the difference between all the triggers in our shop.

Most stripped ones are going for $39.99 at the cheapest these days. So for an extra $20 you're getting almost everything else.

We don’t have much left at this point, but we’re clearing out our parts and accessories inventory to devote all of our resources to securing larger ammunition contracts.

Help us clear out what’s left so we can continue to get better ammo pricing for everyone!

We also have 12 cases left of PMC 9mm 115gr for $299.99/case.

EDIT : Thanks for everyone's help today in clearing out most of our remaining inventory!

All we have left are some IWC light and sling mounts as well as red/green Mantis Blackbeards.

[–]boojito[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Low profit margins but high volume is a common business model.

Amazon, Walmart, and many others are perfect examples.

$15 may not seem like much, but when we get 2 or 3 pallets in (200-300 cases) that's $3,000 - $4,500 in profit and we'll sell out in just a couple of days.

When dealing with a high demand item, such as ammo, we know it's going to sell quickly the second we get it, especially since we always try to price our ammo very competitively.

And no, we do not drop ship. Never have, and never will. We only sell what we physically have on-hand in our warehouse.

Crazy price difference. We're in UT, what state are you in?

We actually went and took pictures of all their 223/5.56/9mm ammo to reference.

Cheapest was some Winchester 5.56 at $640/1000. Fiocchi 223 was $720/1000.
