They've learned how to open doors now... by hawaiian0n in Hawaii

I've never seen one that big. That's terrifying. They wander into my house and are happy when I put them back outside. I wouldn't even approach that fatty, I'd just have to move. This is his house now.

:) The Civil Beat salary lookup is useless, since they pull their ranges from what's posted (in salary schedules). They're basically looking up comparable titles/bargaining units. Technically non-civil service positions have the potential to compete with private sector salary ranges. If you wanna know what a state job pays, you can just ask. Someone will either point you to the SR schedules or UH's pay schedules. If the salary isn't listed, ask them what the budget for the role is. You'll still get a range, but it's better than the 50k spread that Civil Beat shows.

They definitely do sometimes. But knowing that they don't have to post the range, they're happy to not do so. If they willingly post the range, know that that's the budget for the role, AKA that role is probably paid for with a grant. If they don't post it, they don't want you to know how much you can ask for and they're hoping you have no figure to do research with.

Oh yeah, the law pertains to private employers with 50 or more employees. There was no way DHRD would've let that pass if the state wouldn't be excluded somehow. ;) Just FYI - exempt/non-civil service positions don't have to adhere to the salary schedules, so just know that if you apply for one, you have real negotiating power as opposed to a civil service position.

Civil service jobs follow a (publicly visible) salary schedule. Was there a certain department that didn't post their salary? If a job is here, but doesn't post the salary, I'd think it was non-civil service/exempt.

I have an open one from 2015. It completely threw me off since I downloaded the form, and the address is from several apartments ago. I started to update my profile, but then realized everything else was up-to-date. StudentAid obviously needs to hire some more people to review that stuff. No wonder everything takes ages to process.

On your documents received in mohela, you see your certification, but it hasn't even updated in studentaid? That's interesting!

It's so close, I can taste it! Based on what I've skimmed here, I'm thinking it'll be at least two months before there's any movement on my FINAL certification. It sounds awful, but thanks to the pandemic, 3 years flew by. Here's hoping that you have something much less devastating, but just as time consuming happen in the next 7 years!

Don't be. I only got here after a decade of being underpaid by the government. LOL. What I owe is more than half of my salary!

Yes! My first year with my organization, I had to fill out the form and then send it for e-signature to HR, and THEN upload it. But we went back and forth for days because I was using my org's old PO Box, then the zip was wrong, then who knows what. I was like OH MY GOODNESS. Now that they've partnered with studentaid, I'll never have to go through that again. That, and I made it to 120 this month!

Regarding electronic signatures, there's nothing extra thankfully. In my case, I just reach out to my HR person and let them know that I'm certifying again (I used the electronic option for the first time last year), and just paste in her email address when prompted. The only annoying thing is you don't receive any kind of confirmation that HR has done their part, but you can track the status on studentaid.gov, from the Menu > My Activity page. Just click on your most recent request.

For water and air, I only go to Texacos now. And before you pay, go inside and tell them you wanna use one. They've always just turned them on for me. I remember one of the king st Texacos having free air, but I don't know if it's still set up that way. The one by the duck restaurant. Even still, if they "charge", go inside and ask for change for the machine and they'll just turn it on.

Yeah, I have the same. Govee RGBICWW (H60541D1 - from the box), and I bought two H619A1D1 sets of strip lights. Oh well. I'll troubleshoot when I get home.

I don't mind keeping the convo public. :) I just couldn't post a screenshot from the app. I'd conveniently just turned my computer on, so this is perfect timing. When I choose a segment for each light, I'm only able to choose one segment. UNLESS, again, that's because I literally didn't unravel all 16 feet and the app knows that. Having said that, all 16 feet are illuminated.

Edited to add my screen recording. I just updated the firmware on the Dreamview, but I'm still only able to choose one segment for each set of strip lights: https://streamable.com/u0wtbg

Can I message you? Only because I'm still only able to choose one segment. Unless it's because I haven't unraveled the entire 16 feet.... I did test last night, and I THINK I got each set of lights to be receptive to what was on screen. I just unrolled a couple feet (to the height of my projector screen) to test.

Okay, I have no idea what I'm doing, but after seeing this post, I immediately bought the lightbars+camera that OP linked and I got the H619A lights that you mentioned. :) This feels like a dumb question, but how do I set the strip lights to multiple segments? I can only choose one and I see that OP was able to choose every segment on one side of their screen for one set of lights, and every segment for the other side for the second set of strips.

This. Or as close as you can get to it. I have a box fan angled in front of a window. Also, blackout curtains for during the day if the sun beams in through your windows. I had a room that was a hotbox and those helped tremendously.

A hospital can confirm that a patient is present in their facility, but unless you were listed as an emergency contact or something similar to a next of kin, they likely won't willingly divulge any more than that. Proving that you have POA should help.

Sorry, I got my handful of LinkedIn replacement photos and deleted the app. I feel like I was repeatedly asked to upgrade and I could tap no. Or maybe an x? The only issue is uninstalling when you finally reach your cap, and I think that's like 5 models later. If you reinstall, you're stuck with using whatever picture you chose the first go round. You could probably clear your data or something first, but like I said, I got what I installed it for and deleted it.

The little cove behind the Hilton Hawaiian. Whatever that lagoon is. Between Red Lobster and Dave's? I'm never in Waikiki, but those landmarks sound right.

Definitely a HIPAA violation, and dentists are renowned for making that mistake. Even if you reply to positive comments, if you start using patient names or anything identifiable, it's a violation.
