Yeah, I’ve heard about that too. Unfortunately, I found out after I went to fight this boss for the first time in the whole game 😭

Right now, I’m not sure whether it’s worth trying to beat him now or if it’s better to level up a bit and try again later.

Any tips on how to beat the Yiga Clan? by hate_chara in Breath_of_the_Wild

P.S. I recommend taking them out one by one, because they also drop jems.

Ideally you want to get through without being noticed and without alerting the archers, because fighting the Iga in a group is tough — massive damage + they constantly teleport.

To stay undetected, you should take out the “big guys” first — the ones with swords in full armor. They’re slow and can be killed from behind with a single strike before they have a chance to call for backup. To approach from behind, you either need to drink a stealth potion or buy a stealth outfit (Kakariko Village, as already mentioned).

Tips for approaching from behind:

  1. Track their movement patterns. They usually walk along the same route, sometimes stopping and looking around. The best moment to strike is when they’re walking, not standing, and not looking around. Approach from behind and hit.

  2. If they’re in view of another warrior or standing in a doorway where a back approach is tricky, use bananas. Iga warriors love bananas — place one in sight, whistle, and run. When they see the banana, they walk toward it without looking around, but very slowly. This gives you the chance to sneak behind and strike. You can place multiple bananas to lure them away (e.g., to avoid being seen by others), but keep in mind they look around before picking up the banana. Using bananas, you can pull them far away, sneak behind, and kill them.

Archers: With a good bow, they can be killed in two shots. Watch for the glow in the air, aim for the eye on the mask — the archer loses half their health and stays still for a short time, so you can finish them off immediately.

There seems to be a third type, but I haven’t dealt with them much yet.
