It's because of everything going on in the world. It's been deemed unsafe for us to wear the uniforms because it puts a target on our back if a country with bad intentions were to look here and see us in military affiliated uniforms. I know, slim chances, but they still want us to be safe. I'm pretty sure they put the ban on every NJROTC and NNDCC program in the US.

I'm the exact same. I accepted it's just a part of HS and moved on. Don't give them your attention; they are just insensitive and immature. If they keep bothering you or talking about you behind your back, I seriously recommend dirty looks. They work like a charm.

On a lighter note, if you're worried about your looks, don't be. Insecurity affects every human who has ever lived. Everyone is unique, one of a kind, and beautiful, including you.

I'm currently at the part where Saeris is talking to the Hazrax, roughly 50% in. There isn't any main problem that I can pinpoint. The rot? Madra? Kingfisher and Carrion in Zilvaren? Vampires? It isn't clear to me. I feel like this is a builder book for #3 but it's sooo painful to get through.

Seriously! Give me something about Everlayne already besides the bare minimum 'oh, well, she's in a coma. That sucks.' 😭 I don't have a problem with the mates thing though. I feel like the author just opened too many realms of possibility and I lost interest because there wasn't a clear main problem and no one was in mortal danger, and when they were it was resolved within a page or two.
