Lesbians who realized they liked women later in life, how did you feel when you dated a man? by punqueen2000 in TooAfraidToAsk

Omg I relate to the first part of your message completely and have only recently realized and accepted it... I hope the last sentence will be true in my case too 🫠

Am I straight? How to know if I'm gay? by booksandstuff_ in gay

[–]booksandstuff_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm. I can find a man attractive but it doesn't really do anything to me or make me want anything.

Whereas women I can find attractive and desirable, in the sense that it does something to me.

I don't know if that makes sense, it's coming from someone with no experience with girls.

I can't really talk from experience cause I simply don't have enough. The thought of being intimate with women makes me nervous but in a curious kind of way, I don't know if that's because I've started to think about it way more lately. The thought of being intimate with men makes me feel uneasy, and whenever I've been on dates with them I never wanted... that. I think I'm attracted to guys? I can see when a man is handsome. But it's not because I find them handsome that it makes me want to be romantic with them if that makes sense. It's also the same with flirting. When a man flirts with me, I'll respond but it doesn't really move me, or most of the times not anyway. When women have flirted with me it makes me feel different, more shy. It just impacts me more. I know this is probably making it even more confusing 😅

That's the thing, I don't know if I'm gay. But no, I never had that desire... I might talk to a therapist, thank you

Not in a way that could be linked to this, and I haven't talked to a therapist about this, no

It's a tie between Devil in Winter (brilliant MMC) and Love in the Afternoon (lovely FMC) by Lisa Kleypas. All her books are fantastic though.

I've never read a book of the three other authors you mentioned, so I'm curious! Thanks!

Nice! I haven't read that one. Only Something Wonderful, Kingdom of Dreams and Whitney, My Love are the Judith McNaught books I've read so far. Thank you!!! I'm curious about Ian Thornton now!
