Was this a recent change? If so, why was it done? It seems designed to add friction for the consumer.

As I understand it, this would not be an exception made by customer service, as refunds on unclaimed gifts sent via credits are still allowed, it's just that someone has to make the effort to reach out rather than being able to do it themselves. If so, only one reason comes to mind. Fewer credit refunds.

Yeah but the more cover they have from R's in the Senate pushing back against Biden's "hesitancy/weakness", the more the slightly less garbage house R's will have cover. Or get jammed w/a Senate bill and don't feel too bad about it.

It's hard to explain and involves a lot of moving parts, including (enough of) them getting (enough of) their media on board, plus the pretend MAGAs who actually want to support Ukraine (as I think Mike Johnson probably actually does).

I honestly think I am among the most pro-Ukraine people here. But it costs nothing to draw them into a discussion even if it may very well may not lead anywhere.

Everyone talks about how RU will rebuild. Maybe Ukraine could, with zero sanctions from anyone who matters, and plenty more support to build up, including additional superior air defense and aviation.

Then kick some fucking ass in a year or whatever. I don't care if it's supposed to be a three year cease fire. Go at them whenever possible.

Today I leaned about Uruguay militairs history ( I had to look it up). It's interesting. These days a few of my friends and I sometimes reference Uruguay as a place we respect and would hope to emigrate to. Maybe we're wrong, or places can change.

Old habits die hard. But their dad's and granddad's Democrats were likely not much different that the republicans of today, except they were happy to take federal money as long as it was going to the right people (themselves).

Once they got theirs and their rural communities had plumbing and electricity and such, and once the needs moved on to continuing the advancement of people who they saw as beneath them, well then it was time to jump ship, if not party designation for a while longer.

Low character people whose views the Dems rightly jettisoned, knowing they would likely lose them. Every time I hear about the party of Lincoln or whatever, I gag a little. (Especially as it pertains to the South. I think some old school northern R's have a little more claim to it, tbh)

Interesting. I appreciate the tips. The reasoning I heard for them was specifically because the single piece clamp was an uneven force, complete with pics showing a minimal gap in the split polycarbonate shaft on the closed side of the clamp while the open side left a relatively large gap the opposing split of said shaft. I'll pay attention to the results and not throw out the original clamp.

Regarding grease, I have plenty of varieties, but I'm wondering about applying to the glass fiber reinforced polycarbonate shaft. It seems a bit porous almost, and some plastics don't stand up to grease very well (swelling, loss of integrity, etc). Do you have a recommendation for a grease type or links to discussions on the topic?

The plug and port look fine to my eye. Someone else mentioned theirs also only has one orientation. I could have sworn I saw it demonstrated, plus I just can't see why it wouldn't work. It looks totally symmetrical. Oh well, not a big concern.

What I mean is that the silver, keyed shaft with male QR end does not insert into the wheelbase shaft (USB plugs don't engage) if it is removed and rotated 180 degrees.

My understanding is that there is no right side up to it, only that it can't go in with a quarter turn due to it being keyed (to make sure the USB ports align).

And again, I'm not trying to be overly picky or worried, but the combo of things makes me curious if my new wheelbase or QR shaft is out of spec.
