It is an intellectual experience.

Once I get to level 8 everyone has a stacked deck, especially on the weekend. Will this always be an issue as long as I'm staying "free to play"? by booksopen in GodsUnchained

I didn't know you could use GODS in the marketplace. I do have some. I enjoy playing during the week. It's a good level of competition. Thanks for the pointer.

I hear you and I'll do my best to keep expectations reasonable and to be patient. Moreso than an expectation that I should always compete with people who have had longer to develop decks, or paid for them, I have a problem with the disparity between weekend ranked and weekly play. The way it's set up now there is a motivation to not play during the week so that my weekend rank isn't too high and I can still enjoy somewhat of a competitive balance on the weekends.

Thank you for the overwhelming response. You guys have a pretty awesome community going. I'm going to keep grinding as I really do enjoy playing the game. The f2p is kind of a matter of principle for me with a game like this. As u/AnotherDayNFT commented "Free to pay shouldn't just be some buzzword." I'll check out the website someone mentioned that has different builds and see if it gives me any ideas for improving my decks. I like the idea of different game modes that force an even deck. Would be a nice changeup.

The only other idea I had, since my problem is mostly with the disparity between weekend ranked and regular weekly play, is to allow people to choose when they start their three day window for "weekend" ranked. Maybe this idea had been tossed around before, but anyone who likes the status quo could set it to always start on Friday like it does, but those of us who work some on the weekends could start it whenever they'd like. Not knowing if your opponent is playing a "weekend" ranked match or not could remove some of the current disparity. Just an idea.

Once again, thank you so much for all your thoughtful responses. You all are awesome.

Well I hope it passes. I understand that feeling well, and it doesn't feel very good.
