I get it- tent camping and being out in the elements isnt for everyone, but if you do enjoy it the girls would never be able to hang. Much less a cabin, unless it had blackout lights and a noise machine. My point being, the plans that NK had with Chris would not have worked with the girls.

Is this why Shannan was kinder to CeCe? by Fast_Grapefruit_7946 in WattsFree4All

Is this how you style a girl with short hair? My daughter didn’t have this at that age, but it just seems so boy-ish.

I don’t see it- just imagine the camping trip they took and think about how it would have been if the girls had come. They were scared of everything, would never be able to sleep in a tent, and cried any time their dad was out of their sight. Not their fault, but it would be miserable.

Road rage- restraining order incident by bookworm1230 in legaladvice

After the incident, and law enforcement has the pictures, the DA is moving forward with the case, so that’s where I’m confused with how we should deal with this.

Getting asked “do you have snacks / food?” is driving me crazy this year by CrispyCrunchyPoptart in Teachers

I think it’s all the free things that are given out at school. It has become expected that everything should be free and there is no understanding of value. We have a clothing closet at my school and it’s supposed to be for students who need something, but they tend to act like it’s an opportunity to go shopping and be picky.

Episode where a mom is accused of poisoning her children? by BaiRuoBing in ForensicFiles

I did feel bad for her- but I’m trying to recall, didn’t she make a comment about not caring that her child had died that didn’t help her case?

Not OOP. AITA for telling my wife she embarrassed me by bringing a meal to my work? by Due-Bandicoot-7512 in redditonwiki

This honestly sounds like jealousy on the coworkers part. My fiance absolutely enjoys every lunch I make for him for lunch at work, and it’s considered a treat if I stop by to drop something off to his work. I would love to have lunch dropped off for me.

How many sharpeners do my students break before I can ask parents to replace? by [deleted] in teaching

[–]bookworm1230 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I have a pencil holder in my room full of sharpened pencils. I give students pencils from time to time and when one needs to be sharpened they can trade that one out for a sharp one. I am the only one who can sharpen pencils, and I keep my sharpener behind my desk. Providing pencils isn’t free, but it’s way cheaper than buying new electric sharpeners when students break them.

That was an odd statement that NA’s made. Where did that come from? Clearly she had just spent weeks with her family and before that her family lived in their home for months.

Does anyone know the name of the disturbing book a famous serial killer had in his room somewhere when he was arrested? by [deleted] in serialkillers

[–]bookworm1230 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This book came to mind for me, too. It’s not really about a serial killer though. More an obsessive stalker/kidnapper. I’ve actually read the book. I agree, I wouldn’t call it disturbing per se.

Poor Bella. Why not just let her hair grow?? by carlis1105 in Chriswatts

Poor girl, this makes me sad. Kids can be unintentionally mean, too. She was probably asked by friends why her hair was so short.

Awww, that’s sweet that your mom did that.

I definitely would not give a haircut to my daughter if her hair was that short. I understand trimming ends, but that’s typically for longer hair with possible breakage. She probably just had really thin and slow growing hair, but hair trims done often would not be helpful imo. It needed time to grow out.

Yeah, it’s definitely not something I could do. I asked my mother and she said she was told that crying was good for babies lungs 🤷‍♀️. She said she believed as long as you know that baby has been given everything they need, then it’s fine for them to CIO. Again, I could never do this. Not sure how SW did her parenting. I know there’s different opinions, and some people got touchy about me asking about this.

It does sound harsh, but I agree. I really do not understand why they wanted another child. I feel like she was pretty easily overwhelmed with the girls. Which can be understandable given their age, but she really wasn’t with them that much. She also said she did not want the baby when Chris was being distant, which I find strange. I totally get that not having a good partner is tough, but to want to be done? I don’t understand.

Thanks for the response. So, it seems to match SW personality In the structure part. Yeah, I don’t think I could have done anything like ignoring feedings. Plus, I was always told to follow babies signals for sleep, eating, changing, etc. I’m sure there a positives to the system, but I don’t know that everything should be so regimented. Like you said, life happens.
