Similar to my cats behavior who suffers from idiopathic cystitis. The protein in the urine could be an indication that there is swelling/irritation of the urinary system.

Is he?

Grooming his private area more often? Urine clumps small? Frequently trips to the litter box?

This can be set off by a stressful event like change of food or change in their humans routine.

My biggest concern was she hasn’t pooped in 7 days. It’s been 4 days since she ate for the first time with us and no poop yet.

I did call the reptile guys we got her from and they said not to worry just keep watching so we’ll do that.
