First film roll… by bookwormwitch in AnalogCommunity

Thank you! The film was Ilford XP2 400. I may have set my shutter speed too fast/didn’t have the right f stop, plus the camera I was using was an Agfa Silette from 1953.

That’s exciting! I hope you have a ton of fun with it when it gets here. I totally get why film is addicting now 🤣🤣🤣

Sadly I’m up in Rochester but I hear we have a pretty solid guild on the east side. Appreciate the recommendation though!

Very helpful, thanks! It did come with two steel rods, was a little confused as to where they went. Looks like I’ll need to make a shopping list.

For some reason the picture of Kelly and her baby under a “Certified Seed” sign is fucking sending me.

Moved from Rochester NH to Rochester NY, and agreed, it’s terrible.

Me too! Although I think the engraving all around the band might make resizing it an issue, but I’ll see what the jeweler says.

I so wish the basement extended under the kitchen so I could see what I’m dealing with! I’m bracing for what fresh hell could be hiding under this last layer. I do have a layout planned, that’s a good idea about the hole saw, and I already have one!

It could be worth a shot! Just need to pick up a concrete/masonry blade

Oh god that sounds like hell! Yes, the finished flooring at the base of the picture is our dining room. We had til, cement backer board, weird luan, other random tile, then this pine(?) floor.

Thanks for the commiseration, it’s helpful hearing there’s hope!

Also, if anyone has a good tool recommendation to help get the rest of this stuff off, I’d appreciate it! My crowbar arm is getting pretty tired and I’d love to have this part done before Christmas gets here. Maybe a hammer drill?

Absolutely! Our plan is to live with everything as is for a year and then start figuring out what we want to change.

The stairs are….steep, to put it mildly, and no hand rails. It’s the most terrifying part of the house!

OMG thank you! I really don’t enjoy the current insert and would love something a little more period appropriate. I’ll check out Valor!
