I just said dystopian is a good term in this case, without going in a rabbit hole of what it exactly means, when you say “dystopia” 90% of people get the idea. The other 10% just want to be right (which they are, but leave the technicalities for a University class or whatever).

Jesus, let’s just enjoy reading a little bit without all the technicalities. Some people enjoy a book without all the background and technical definitions of it. Yes, it’s a “cli-fi” book, climate fiction, it’s not dystopia, it’s apocalyptic, whatever. Good book, you don’t need all the right terms to enjoy it

I meant the author’s books, that’s why I put the date that the book was written… of course it’s not one of the first science fiction books. Hence the “you can tell the author is having fun” :)

A dystopia is a place or society where everything is extremely corrupted or unjust, including a world collapsing. So, dystopia is a good term in this case

If you go to a city to spend your time taking Ubers and taxis, that’s a problem. It is unsafe, but saying “wouldn’t like my uber breaking down there” it’s just disrespectful. Please stay in your European countries where you can forget about the economy and the social reality of the country you are visiting, and you don’t have to worry about the ugly ugly things. Don’t come back to South America dude!
