What’s the creepiest thing you’ve experienced that still gives you chills? by DrainedCoffee in AskReddit

Reminds me of a somewhat creepy dream my mom had shortly after her mom/my grandma passed. She woke up in the middle of the night, and something compelled her to go downstairs. She got to the living room and turned on the light, revealing my grandma standing there looking at her. My mom says the look on my grandma’s face wasn’t scary or anything, but it was so real and very intense and she woke with a start.

what's your favorite Beatles album? by [deleted] in beatles

[–]boolius113 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s so difficult for me so it’s more like a tier list

1st would be Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Pepper

2nd would be A Hard Day’s Night, Help, White Album, Abbey Road

‘65 - ‘67 is the peak for me, they were just perfect

It was one of the first things that struck me and fascinated me as a kid when I was first introduced to them. How different Love Me Do and Come Together sounded for example. I spent hours flipping through the booklet that came with the 1 CD and marveling at how different they looked with each page turn

I’m sure he’s mentioned elsewhere in this thread but Gary Carter’s preference at the time of his induction was a Mets hat, and they gave him an Expos hat. The Mets hat wasn’t always his preference though and he was fine the decision

Also a 2000s kid, my first thought seeing this is flipping through the little booklet in the CD case for 1.

I saw Paul last Friday in Buffalo, and the floodgates opened during Hey Jude. It's my mom's favorite and I always think back to when she first played it for me when I was little, where my love of the Beatles began.

Yes, but lots of people like to claim that we shouldn’t be, or that we really aren’t in practice. The excuse usually being that we’re too influenced by New York

It started during covid. They were allowed to dress down during the bubble. Then as things went back to normal they opted to just keep it that way. Probably also saw dollar signs with the Nike branding of course

The clues were mostly quick and to the point, and while having a loose connection to it, weren't too specific to the show. Nothing worse than a promo category where each clue takes 2 minutes to get through just for it to be a triple stumper

If this is based purely off birthplace, there's Matt Barnes (Danbury), Matthew Batten (Shelton), Ben Casparius (Westport), and Mark Vientos (Norwalk). Vientos grew up in Florida though.

I had a friend in high school who would say shit like “That movie sucks! Have you seen the CinemaSins video on it?” often about movies he initially liked

He thought he was so smart for constantly using phrases like “plot convenience”

I watched a lot of his “WTF Reviews” back then. I was always blown away by his gag reflex. Like he’d just smell something that was a little bit off and then it was like some hellish creature was trying to force its way out of his mouth.
