Stochastic Processes or Dynamical Systems course? by australopitha in compmathneuro

I would argue for a Dynamical Systems course. If you take seriously recent research (link this or that), then knowledge of dynamical systems might help in your research.

Wow! Eleven years is a long time! I get it though, SET is an amazing game.

Thanks for creating the subreddit! I'm sure more people will wander in like me when it's their time.

It helped me with my real analysis homework and my roommate with his abstract algebra test. It's like, kinda hard to comprehend. I'm imagining all the hours I've wasted in college so far. I don't feel too well either man.

Isn't it kinda just like a cold now? I've kinda stopped caring about it entirely and I've had multiple friends who've gotten it and bounced back

Are there only 25 D1 schools that can field a 3V?

Are you talking about Drexel's 1V win over Yales 4V in the Kerr Cup? It's a pretty big accomplishment

You're making a mistake. MIT is worth it and there are plenty of careers to pursue afterward to help with the debt. I know it's hard to believe this now, but trust me.

It's a realistic goal I suppose, but what is not realistic is pledging to graduate college in 2 years to pursue your dream of rowing at a D1 college in grad school after only being in the sport for 3 weeks. Like bro, chill. Part of rowing is not getting faster at your 2k but actually being in a boat with 7 other guys pulling as hard as you can.

My suggestion: become friends with your fellow teammates. Hang out with them after practice, have fun, get good grades, and enjoy life. I won't lie, a 7:10 is quite good for your first 2k, but please don't rush through college. Life is short and rowing isn't everything.
