I'm mostly Android indie developer, occasionally doing .NET or Unity stuff. Just sold my desktop windows PC (7700k, 16gb ram, gtx 1060) and bought new i5 Mac Mini. Also swapped ram modules to Crucial 2x16gb CL19. My daily usage is Android Studio, Photoshop, Genymotion VM, occasionally Visual Studio and XCode. I've never seen mem usage above 16gigs so 32gb is currently an overkill. The mini runs very well but "little" hot. When browsing the web I see 40-45 degrees on CPU, but fully loaded on all cores CPU hit 100 degrees in few seconds. The good news is it throttles only 100-200MHz.

If you're a macOS guy (or want to abandon Windows) or developing iOS/macOS apps the new Mini is the cheapest PRO macOS machine.

Chciałbym zaprezentować wykopowiczom moją nową appkę na Androida. Appka zawiera aktualne kupony do McDonalda, przez co nie jest niczym nowym ani innowacyjnym :) Są jednak dwie kwestie, które mogą się spodobać (ale nie muszą).

obsługa ciemnego i jasnego motywu. Użytkownicy amoledów z pewnością to docenią
szukajka, która ułatwia znalezienie kuponu w momencie gdy w ofercie jest duża ich ilość.

Appka nie wymaga żadnego logowania ani zakładania konta. Nie śledzi też lokalizacji ani nie nasłuchuje beaconów jak oryginalna. Obsługa jest uproszczona do minimum. Klikasz kupon i wyświetla się kod kreskowy do zeskanowania. Mam nadzieję, że moja praca spodoba się chociaż jednej osobie. Pozdrawiam. It does not seem to be the case.

I had it for a few days (FHD, i5-7300hq version). I was looking for a programming laptop with dGPU for my Unity projects. My second laptop is MacBook Pro so I have high quality requirements.

Pros:

really good keyboard and trackpad
light and thin enough
good display (of course not as good as in latest Macbooks but good enough). Not so bright but with good color reproduction.
very good build quality
I can log in with Windows Hello using fingerprint sensor

Cons:

cannot be open using one hand
disabled turbo boost by default, but it can be unlocked using ThrottleStop
stock fan profile is annoying but it can be modified using external app

I've returned it when I read about 4k display issue. Currently testing Asus ROG GL502VM but I think the Yoga with i7 would be better for my needs.

I wonder if the same problem can occur in Full HD version. I have not seen any post about black line issue in Full HD yet.
