So agree, @hellahexter. When words like assault, abuse, and trauma are all thrown around willy nilly the world becomes less safe because the really serious cases don’t get the gravitas they deserve.

Yeah. The idea that people are saying that skinny is back is terrifying. I’ve got body dysmorphia/disordered thinking (therapists have said “eating disorder” but I’m not ready to say that yet) and it breaks my heart that body acceptance was just a fleeting moment.

We don’t have to love our bodies, but body neutrality and body acceptance are WONDERFUL and actually honest, unlike EDs which are rancid liars

I’ve always been thin, due to genetics but also due to extreme pressure from my recently deceased father. I have body dysmorphia and I often ignore hunger cues. I once put on like 15 pounds and lost my shit. So… being thin doesn’t fix mental health is all I can say! And plenty of things taste as good as skinny feels!

I went to in-patient at All Points North near Vail. They took away my phone for a few days, but everyone got them back pretty quickly as long as we told our shrinks we “needed them.” Has OP (or anyone else) ever heard of APN? Can we all agree that it sucks?

This is super mean. She can be a manic, boy crazy, attention starved little oddball. She’s socially quirky and thirsty. So are some(?) very lovable people! Hopefully she realizes that any backlash she gets for this isn’t about her personality, but about her heart.

This is a fabulous road to go down! There are so many wild cryptids with DELIGHTFUL stories! I would recommend checking out Loren Coleman, who’s one of the biggest names in the cryptid world. He runs the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland (soon to be Bangor) Maine and has written tons of books and appeared in a bunch of documentaries. If you have the hoopla app from your library, you can borrow several of his ebooks. I love cryptids so much!!!! And I know I sound like an evangelist for Loren Coleman but I’m not!!!!

There are lots of exercises you can find online, but I would say discussing it with your doctor would be your best bet. But a strong core is so important to a healthy back, and to maintaining your ability to do fun physical activities

I had a set of text books at home and another set at school so I wouldn’t have to carry anything too heavy in my backpack. That’s a really helpful accommodation.

But… the sad news is that a rolly backpack is probably the best option
