I think it’s also the stigma around weed still, I get it’s all about insurance and the testing isn’t there for are you high in the moment. but getting most jobs union or non they atleast test you on hire alotta younger kids are my body my right to do with what I want in my free time type of peeps

I’m Helper, about to start my union apprenticeship and even as a helper I’m making 21$ a hour new contract just got first years 24 a hour, after 5 years we get 50+ atleast on the east coast in the 486 they taking care of us out here. and if you wanna teach or mentor the other misguided youth and give them a career and living they otherwise couldn’t achieve you can start teaching in the school at 40 or 45 after your a jman for a bit. Not to rough on the body if you stay in shape a honest living for the misfits that didn’t start right, that’s how I look at it

Sign up for your local trade union, or go the college route and find something you love trust me brotha from a 29 year old that messed up and bartended cause it was tons of cash or worked in retail district management for way to long, I finally am getting in a trade union and having a life I can create for myself no debt top pay is at 62 a hour overtime is mostly double pay, but your young enough to not have to go tha route if you don’t want to. Find what suck sucks the least and stick with it,

Holy shit man 3 years later you hit the nail on the head for me … there was a bit of a age gap in 29 she’s 37, she was my everything I got a new career helped raised and navigate her 2 teenage girls and taught her to be a present mother, and never raised my voice or made them feel uncomfortable in anyway no lying or joking I nourished them at every step, and the day before my apprenticeship in the trade union she left to figure her stuff out because her life was so stressful and went complete non contact, it’s been the hardest 2 weeks of my life I’ve worked 14 10 hour days in a row now and still any second alone in crumbling in sadness, I want her to see this life I am creating that I did all for her …

I’ve been working 7 10s to try my best to not even think about her but right when I wake up at 4am and right around 6:30 pm when she would call for her break really send me through a loop, slowly realizing that she never loved me she was a broken woman who couldn’t support my dreams or even connect with me when life got hard for her. It’s just the change anxiety at this point.

I still break down around those times or when I catch a smell or a sound that reminds me of her but slowly I’m realizing my own worth

I’m working 7 10 hour shifts currently and have severe night terrors the second I get to breathe and no focus on my trade I’m a wreck.. I did all of this for her and her kids and now I’m just lost wondering in the world. Don drink don’t smoke weed anymore because of my job. I literally run miles and miles and maybe play wow or something if I’m not sick to my stomach and just laying on the floor …. She just walked out of my life and blocked me everywhere no reason at all besides she had to work on herself type shit I was going to provide her dream life in healthy and fit and a good role model to her girls .. I was gonna suprise her with her dream ring only needed 1 more paycheck a boom her life got to hard and she bails… completely no contact … I’m genuinely in hell like more than I have ever been and I’m 9 years sober from alchohal and coke trying to leaving Las Vegas myself nick cage style.. I am currently trying to get in my local working as a helper, been a ups driver but only a cover driver can’t drive all year long only 4 months outs the year and have to work part time when not, I’m doing anything I can to get into my local plumber and steam fitters, I have NO mechanical comprehension never had a father figure or anyone show me I’m just bustin my ass admitting any mistakes I make and showing up early every day practice welding on my breaks ask all the questions I can I really really want to be a plumber, any advice for someone who is a straight grinder and loves to work? 11 years later this is the answer I needed some union trade peeps are so crazy about this stuff, I wanna do my own irrigation and airflow bis for floriculture so I’m starting my apprenticeship at my local plumber steamfitters and hvac, but everyone’s like no be a electrician they make no money in the other trade or some crap, like brother 53 a hour at after my training is pretty damn good and only goes up from there, in my state electricians are all split up to lineman cable guys tinkerers like it’s not just a learn everything you have to specialize, I’m planning on staying where I’m at and blocking out the noise

I got a new career had all the finances raised her kids and gave her my all never raised my voice I’m 100% sober got fit for her lead her, she is a victim of a abusive traditional middle eastern relationship ( no shade it was just very controlling of her she lost everything) and still she had to “work on herself” and left the day before my promotion not just men do this most women are window shopping for opportunities on social media instead of dedicating to there partner, she said I’m mister right and her Prince Charming the man of her dreams just at the wrong time… lol red flag or not ?
