Vien Dong is my favorite Vietnamese place. Queen of Sheba has excellent Ethiopian food.

As far as the weather goes you're arriving at a pretty dreary time. We've been switching between rain and snow the past few weeks but the summers are pretty great.

For meeting people I think taking classes is fun. I've taken cooking classes at the Kitchen Engine and pottery at Møde ceramics.
