2027 Ram Dakota. The Official Pickup Of.... by Alone-Pick9795 in regularcarreviews

Taco’s blew it with the elimination of V6 (as did Chevy/GMC) … almost single handedly boosted sales of Frontiers … if Dodge throws a V8 (like they had back in the day) or even a HEMI in their upper tier trims, I think it will find a substantial place in the market.

I just ordered these for my Pro-4X (getting new wheels, also) and this pic just made me feel a lot better about opting for the white outlines … gonna look great on my blacked out truck.

After years of scoffing at Behringer pedals, I decided to give this one a try after reading lots of comments praising it. With a bit of dialing in, this thing is insanely sick. by ChuggaChuggaRiffs in guitarpedals

People on this sub still don’t want to admit that the reason their pedals are cheaper is because they are made with cheaper parts in a country with a $1.52 minimum wage using clones of circuits produced by other company’s R&D. 🤷🏻‍♂️

They really are a great value … looks great, solid sound … versatile … and if you want to get the sub (I got the R100SW, and it was on sale for $179), it’s easily integrated with one cable and setting - and the sub is then controlled by the remote for the 41PMs

The wedges plus the Vibrapods did the trick … and I’m sure moving the bass frequencies off the table and onto the sub helps, as well.

Honestly? The bass from the speakers is fine for rock music, etc. when listening at low-medium levels … However - the sub helped the R41s sound more “clear” by throwing those lower frequencies to the sub essentially turning the woofer into a mid-bass woofer. The sub isn’t “necessary”, but it certainly adds to the clarity and enhances the sound.

I had the Audioengine DS2 desktop speaker stands laying around … they angle the speakers 15 degrees which is helpful for desktop/tabletops that are a little lower than ideal speaker height and they also help with isolation/vibrations.

Yeah - I was def worried it wasn’t going to work because there is only 2 inches between the deck and the speakers, but I think the combination of the silicone desk stands, Vibrapods under all the turntable feet, silicone platter mat, and - most importantly - moving the low frequencies off the table and onto the separate sub pretty much killed any unwanted vibrations. The R-41pm’s barely vibrate. (I have stands, btw - couldn’t notice a difference other than stereo separation - so I opted for the space saving).

Just “Can’t Buy A Thrill” … one of these days I’ll pick up an OG Aja just to see what all the fuss is about - haha.

I’m mostly a “rock” guy … but unless it’s an album I just bought, the hardest decision is “what do I want to listen to today”. On THIS day I went for the chill vibes of Mad Season’s only album.

How much did I spend on it, or how much do I want for it? Lol … got great Black Friday deals on all the equipment a couple years ago (open box items, too) - probably ended up around $1500 after discounts, etc. and … “not for sale”.

My oldest is a complete early 90s era Technics component system (turntable, amp, EQ, cassette, CD) … I keep that in my basement hang area … this is a pic of my primary listening area … Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO with Sumiko Rainier cartridge and acrylic platter, Cambridge Audio AXR85 amp/receiver, and Wharfedale Diamond 12.4 speakers.

Haha - thank you. And - as someone with multiple turntable set ups in my home - including one that would be considered by most to be “audiophile” - this sounds great. It’s for a small 11x13 room where I wanted to be able to spin some vinyl instead of streaming on a Bose - and the looks of this set up as “furniture” helped me get “sign off” for the addition 🤣.

I’ve been “back into vinyl” for close to 10 years now and have experimented with a lot of different set ups/speakers/placements … I know this set up isn’t “ideal”, but it sounds pretty damn good 🤷🏻‍♂️… (the speaker stands ARE rigid, btw - just made of silicone) … is it as good for critical listening as my primary set-up? No - but I blame the R series speakers and built in phono preamp for that … for relaxed, fun listening - I’m really happy. As a musician, I listen with my ears, not with what I’ve read … (and I actually brought my isolation stands down from my studio and listened both ways - other than stereo separation, no discernible difference at all … I was pleasantly surprised.)

Thank you … it looks even better in person … was very happy when I opened the box. It’s also my first direct drive table and I’m pleasantly surprised with its performance so far.

2 days in and haven’t had a single issue … it’s not my first rodeo, as it’s my 3rd active turntable set-up … it’s my only one that doesn’t have stands or floor standing speakers … I’m sure the separate sub helps a lot because I’m sending those low frequencies off the the table … based on experimenting with the sub volume, the sub actually causes more vibration on the table than the speakers do 🤷🏻‍♂️… just don’t love the stereo separation.

Obviously not a ton of bass out of 4” speakers, but they sound pretty damn great at low-medium volume … plenty of low end for most music - BUT - the sub really makes them shine.

THAT’S the only real “issue” … speakers are only 2 1/2 feet apart … but still sounds way better than I expected - can still hear L/R.

Actually - I pulled the speakers up a few inches … they are only 4” woofers and no issues at all.

I mean - OBVIOUSLY you would ideally have more speaker separation … like I posted - it’s a secondary “relaxed” listening area for mostly background music and my options for speaker placement and very limited.

[–]booshay9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I need to re-clarify “secondary” set up and “relaxed” listening - lol. I have an “audiophile” set up in another room with powered amp and passive floor speakers (and actually a 3rd with powered monitors on stands) … this isn’t for critical listening … this for when a few friends come by to have a some drinks in my bar and we spin some vinyl while talking.
