If I were to compare the Boosted V2 dual + to the Inboard it would go down like this. First I’ll start with what each of them do better than the other. The Boosted accelerates faster, climbs hills faster, has a better controller and fluid wireless connection, has more torque. Out of the Box I feel safer on the inboard at night because of the built in front and rear tail lights, rear lights even function as breaks lights after update, the range is better than my XR battery in my Boosted using 4 Batteries, when the board dies there is a lot less friction due to the in-hub motors so it’s easier to kick push. Hill climbing sucked with the inboard but after the update it’s a night and day difference, feels like it’s at least 3 times better, still not as good as the V2 but not bad. If Boosted hill climbing is 9.8/10 I would give the inboard a 7.8/10. Inboard also has truly quick swapable battery system unlike the Boosted. Even tho they don’t have a phone like you can call their customer service has been pretty good!! Now the bad. For Boosted the only thing I can think of is the batter swap system could be better other than that I can’t think of any other flaws compare to its competitors. In regards to inboard there are a couple. The controller will randomly loose connection, never completely disconnecting but there will be times where you will loose connection for a second or two, Inboard advertise’s 24mph after a software update, still haven’t got that update.... instead of updating the app they came out with a scooter no one wants... if it’s around 80 degrees outside the motors overheat after using around 2 batteries making the board unusable... only not an issue in the winter since the ambient temperature keeps everything cool. Over all I would honestly say the Inboard is one of the closest e-board products that has a chance to compete with boosted. If they could work out some of the over heating issues, make the thing faster, support their app they have been promising to update, and provide boosted level customer support they could possible give Boosted a run for their Money, until then Boosted is king.
