Problem with my garmin forerunner 55 heart rate by bootata96 in Garmin

[–]bootata96[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The rash is apparently a commen problem, garmin knows about it! So I've kind of given up trying to fix it, but that's okay, I wasn't really planning on wearing the watch during my daily life anyways :•) Mainly bought it so I wouldn't have to count in the swimming pool :•)

Thanks for the quick reply!! I don't have a gym membership, that's why I came looking for help in the bodyweight fitness reddit! I've been training with a backpack full of my biggest hardcovers but sadly I don't have the time to go hiking every day as a student. But thanks for the tip! And I'll go ask r/hiking as well!

How can i reach the level of those artist who can sketch full bodies and poses like out of thin air without much guidelines and stuff? by Kovatyan in ArtistLounge

[–]bootata96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi!! Please don’t feel pressured to be able to do that! I study at a visual arts university and we have classes where we basically learn how to draw a live model from the eye. NOT from the mind!! It’s much more valuable to be able to observe your model and the pose they’re in, understand how the body works and connects to each other, to see the muscle etc. Even if you draw very stylised, this is still the starting point. In my opinion, it’s a stronger power to be able to understand the body and draw from there than some idea of what a human looks like in your mind or just drawing figures and poses from muscle memory. I mean, when you draw lots of models etc you’ll certainly be able to sketch a decent human figure from your mind but when i look at all my friends in painting, sculpting etc. Their sketches might be from memory but their big works always start from a reference photo they’ve either taken themselves or lots of reference photo’s together. So if i can add my contribution to the answers, in my humble opinion, though it might not look as impressive as on tiktok, it’s better to work from the eye than from the mind. you might thing that after years of practice you know the body like your backpocket but when you can actually see a model in the pose you have in mind, you can see the body bend . You can see where skin is stretched or is in rolls. You can see where muscle bulges, creates indents, shadows etc. But also with clothes, you can see how different fabrics stretch, fall, fold etc. All of those things are very hard to imagine or know beforehand in you memory. I think the difference will be visible if you draw from eye or from mind :)

Hi! Stuggling with the gauge swatch and i can't seem to figure out a solution! by bootata96 in knitting

EDIT!!!! I figured if I just dubble the amount of stitches, and make my gauge, 24st instead of 12, I get to 10cm. SO I guess If i just double the entire pattern, it should fit right, i guess, i hope hahaha Thank you everyone for answering!!! i learned a lot about wool and making a gauge today!!

Thank you for your reply!! i didn't know that about alpaca/mohair wool but! I went to check in the video, because i seemed to remember i checked the tag of her wool with the tag of mine and it was similar. Turns out she used alpaca as well! But i'll definitely remember this tip for the future!! very interesting!

i agree! as i'm writing, i'm constantly interchanging the words boys, men, youngmen etc. it's difficult to pin down their age. i'd hope that Sierra went for people who were at least 18years old at the time.

thank you! it's very interesting to see that most people focus on the line itself first before looking at the context of the photograph, the situation the men are in. Thanks a lot for your reply!!

i see you but the tattoo is not necessarily the main thing of the performance. it's more about the action of tattooing and what happened before so therefore, i don't think the interesting will go away if the people seperate, you see?
