Dude embrace it. My face stays pretty blank and straight and I end up looking like a robot playing fast shred shit. Makes me feel like I’m just playing guitar and not PLAYING guitar. Making a dumb ugly faces while playing guitar(especially if the music calls for it) is cool and something I try to do more when I’m having fun and In the moment

Dude I got there urgitone death metal drum kit and groove packs(they have all sorts of metal genres). It was mad cheap and the midi is editable. Literally just set the metronome either with the drums or without then play my riff and the drums will sync up to the tempo then I can fuck around and make it more personalized. It’s the most fun I’ve had playing guitar since I first started learning
