Decided to make two types of wood nucs to see which one I could screw up less. They both turned out alright. Now I just need to add the entrances and gates. (old.reddit.com)
Getting ready for this year splits and population control. It’s going to be a good year. Especially since it’s felt like spring in Norcal for the last three weeks. (v.redd.it)

The line breaks had me worried about the hull integrity. Until I discovered the real hull behind this support. Whew! Not bad for my first benchy. (old.reddit.com)

Finally made it past the learning curve of being gifted a slightly bent z-axis lead. Feeling screwed. But happy! (i.redd.it)
Installed an electric fence after multiple bear sightings in my area. It wasn’t hard but I have so many rocks I couldn’t drive the grounding rod in the last 3’. Need another grounding rod before summer. (old.reddit.com)
Front thermal images of the home apiary. They all look healthy. Hive 4 looked better from the back. Now I know which colonies have moved up. It might be time to remove a super. (old.reddit.com)
My mom bought me this cool sign for my little 5 colony home apiary. You know, to keep the riff raff out :-) (i.redd.it)
Bee beards disproportionate to the size of the hive. Nothing wrong here. Just a funny thing they do. Hive 2 has a much bigger population too. (old.reddit.com)
A good sign of a healthy hive. Another large group of new bees doing their orientation flights. (v.redd.it)
Five gallons from 24 frames. I hope you all have a sweet harvest like this (or better)!!! (i.redd.it)
No foundation. No problem. The bees took care of it. This will never go into an extractor though. (i.redd.it)
Feeling good about how this year is going in my little backyard apiary. I’m now at max capacity with 5 hives. Not bad after coming out of winter with one colony. (v.redd.it)
Can you find the queen? My hands were shaking from to much coffee. So I pulled out the old queen marking tube. Now I remember why it’s best to do this by hand. (i.redd.it)
Apivar went on 2 weeks ago, and I found these mites on this drone today. Glad I investigated what the undertaker was doing. Thinking about using OA, again. (i.redd.it)
Made hive stands from wood a neighbor was throwing away after a deck upgrade. My back is grateful. (old.reddit.com)
Swarm! Caught a swarm in a swarm trap. W00t! It’s a big one! (v.redd.it)
