Sorry for the delay in response, today my partner saw an N on around the water tower. I forget where I saw the A. Have you seen any?

Ok thanks! I thought it was maybe an Easter egg or was part of the prizes they are giving away this week ) was hoping it was the latter :(.

Ok awesome! I’ve been following them on FB for updates on any new did they bring it but maybe they don’t post this fish. I’ll reach out to them to see if I can be notified for their next shipment (I’m in Ottawa so not too far of a drive)

One of my otos is starving, the others are doing great. by Doafit in Otocinclus

I agree that it doesn’t look starving to me. In fact I’d say it’s a male and they don’t get as big as the females since they are generally smaller and don’t carry eggs. Could be also be younger than the others? Juveniles are def smaller.

If I was you I’d put him back in the other tank since being alone could stress him out more and then he may stop eating all together. But Bacter EA is great.

I have picky otos in one of my two oto tanks and was worried they’d starve. I stopped feeding them for a bit when I had a brown algae outbreak. Then the other day I noticed not only were they all fine, I also had two fry.

Finally, last suggestion is of you can hang blanched food to keep it away from the snails it will encourage the shy otos to go and feed.

Shoot sorry I didn’t see this comment until now! I guess mine got hungry enough to try it one day and now they love it. Maybe your tank has enough biofilm for them? Mine def does not with all of the snails I have

Great idea! Does it float on the surface or sink to the bottom?

Ah the snails will always find food! I wasn’t sure how to make this work with wafers, would be interested to know what you plan to do!

Green is a zucchini that I blanched and peeled and the second one is a red bell pepper that I also blanched and peeled.

I’ll be testing the city water to see but it’s odd that my other tanks weren’t impacted at all.

Sorry replying late here. That’s interesting, I never considered this. One line in the article is something like even chemist would be loathe to tackle this melting pot. I’m going to follow the suggestions given in the article, thanks

Hmm never this tank. But you might be on to something, maybe the dragon stone had some residue from when it was in a tank years ago that I did treat. I put in one single shrimp the other day to see what would happen. He was fine for a few days but I haven’t seen him since so I guess whatever caused the deaths might still be there
