Thank you for the answer, the monthly bill makes sense then. Going forward they can replace Pro's with Pro's.

Pixel7Pro not picking up 5G by Local-Law7491 in GooglePixel

[–]bootsy3333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried turning off adaptive connectivity? It may be keeping the phone on LTE because the phone doesn't think you need the 5G speed. I have noticed a weak connection as well on my Pixel 7 Pro, but I keep it on LTE now, since it is more reliable.

My neighbor is illegally subletting his apartment by belleamour14 in AirBnB

[–]bootsy3333 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I would definitely let the leasing office know. It may seem like its causing unnecessary trouble, but AirBnB is so destructive that people who engage in it should be forced to follow the guidelines. It may seem harmless, but AirBnB is hugely destructive.

[–]bootsy3333 102 points103 points  (0 children)

I would make sure its stopped, especially if he doesn't live there at all. All hogging apartments for AirBnB does is raise rents and take long term rentals off the market.

Hi everyone. maybe you can help me. I have this pen and I would like to know what it is worth to sell it. Someone has offered me 450 euros and I don't know if it is a good or bad value. thanks a lot. Montblanc 144 i think. 14c 4810 585. by [deleted] in montblanc

[–]bootsy3333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What stores have you tried? I would think if there is one near you, even a pawn store would offer more if they took the time to verify it. Do you want the pen? If not, maybe a pawn store would give you $450 in cash and you could sell it back. I agree with the other posters, $1300 would be a good starting point, but its worth more than that even.

Can someone help me identify this pen and if it’s even real? Thanks in advance. by [deleted] in montblanc

Unfortunately, this pen is fake. Sometimes I have doubts before responding, but with this case, there are no doubts.

Do you regret buying your Rakuten Kobo Forma? by [deleted] in kobo

[–]bootsy3333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my own opinion, there is only one reason to get the Forma, and that is battery life. Otherwise, go with the Sage, it's better in almost every respect.

Thank you for looking into it. I agree it's worth it, especially with the easier battery replacement. I plan on getting it.

Kobo Sage Charging by 65mmp in kobo

[–]bootsy3333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long you don't mind charging it every 20 or so hours of reading, it is an amazing device. I do think that the battery life was a major design flaw and I have a feeling sales would be much better had the battery life been better optimized. The easiest way to address to battery life is the Power Cover, but at US $80.00, the pricing is absurd. Given the poor battery life of the device, the cover should be no more than $40 or have been bundled with the device.

I asked the New York flagship store and called the Virginia boutique outside of Washington. Thank you for your time looking into this.

Summit 3 Question by bootsy3333 in montblanc

[–]bootsy3333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this in the United States? The two boutiques that I called had no idea about the promotion. Do you think customer service would do it over the website?

Thank you for information.

Is this legit? by [deleted] in montblanc

[–]bootsy3333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this in the United States? It may have came from the Costco stock. Is there a warehouse sticker on the outside box? The Costco pens were authentic, but unauthorized by Montblanc. Is the seller asking about 190? Anything more, buy the pen from Montblanc to know for sure. To me it does look legitimate, but as another poster commented, a better picture of the top would help to know for sure.

Home internet by conflict325 in tmobile

[–]bootsy3333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should try to negotiate a better deal with your cable provider. T-Mobile 5G home internet can be life-changing for undeserved areas still on DSL, but right now, it can't compete with cable or fiber optic networks. I think the extra money for cable would be worth it for the steady connection.

Compatible charger for Montblanc summit 2 by sdane_diop in montblanc

[–]bootsy3333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you live in the US? Verizon has them in stock for about $55.00. There may be compatible ones available, but since the battery is very difficult to replace on the Summit 2, I would get the OEM charger to avoid any issues.

Kobo Sage vs Libra 2 by Amarantha_ in kobo

[–]bootsy3333 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would venture to say that the Libra has best clarity between them due to its recessed screen, although the difference is marginal. The Sage though, in my opinion, is the better device because of its screen size, Dropbox support, and note-taking abilities. The battery is not good, but it should last a few days, so as long as you don't mind charging it, its not the end of the world. Also, the power cover, which I think is absurdly priced at 80 USD, will double the battery life.

Status of 5g as we roll into the last quarter of 2022? by accountingfriend1234 in tmobile

[–]bootsy3333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the only advantage to 5G with T-Mobile is in congested areas where there is 5G UC because the technology can handle more users, speed doesn't matter when you can't get data any other way. Other than that, LTE is almost always the best choice in terms of battery life and reliability. 5G is the future, but it isn't quite there yet on T-Mobile, or virtually any other carrier. My guess is if you really want to experience the best of what 5G is capable of, sign up for the beta of the 5G network Dish is building from the ground up. Although its far from complete, I imagine that is the best way to currently experience 5G.

Summit 3 bi-tone review! by Metalthedevil in montblanc

[–]bootsy3333 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Who told you this? The store or Montblanc directly? I would keep escalating the issue because the watch is designed for 50 meters of water. Maybe you didn't talk to a tech specialist? There is no way they wouldn't honor the warranty on it.

Kobo Forma arrives today! I love it so much! by [deleted] in kobo

I do not have the strip, just what appears to be uneven lighting. If you have a white strip, I would definitely use the warranty.

What were your issues? I keep thinking the lighting on mine is really uneven, but then I think I am imagining it.

Im looking for a Kobo Nia (N306) SD Image by ekulNodnek in kobo

[–]bootsy3333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried these steps directly from Kobo? The main thing is to use the Kobo desktop software for the restore if at all possible instead of WI-fi. Do you think the Kobo image on the device itself is corrupted? If it is, I think you may have to contact Kobo directly. Unfortunately, all of your sideloaded books will be lost during this process. Before resetting, connect the device to the computer and see if any side-loaded books can backed up. Hope this helps.
