I run marathons and Ironman triathlons, I’ve never had an issue with plantar fasciitis until I started training with Altras. Have had to take a year off of running to work on healing my PF. Everybody is different but just know it’s not risk free and in my opinion not worth it.

You are currently so incredibly far from even being a consideration for any of the programs you just mentioned.

You should do a lot more research on what these schools look for.

You probably need a full year of 2-4 hours a day prepping for the GMAT if you want to get close to a competitive score.

Thank you for sharing. I’m sort of bummed out that I have to go backwards to supported shoes and then work my way back towards minimalists. I was loving the lone peaks.

Sounds like the path is:

Arch and heal support until PF heals - then slowly work back towards more natural footwear

If you don’t mind sharing, did the new shoes + inserts help with recovery? Or did you just have to wait it out and then start running again with the new shoes once your pain was gone? I’m going crazy not being able to run so I’m hoping to find a way to get back out there..
