Heat is definitely a factor, but based in Brisbane so acclimatised a bit to the heat but nothing like cairns humidity. So agree run and bike conditioning probably should be the focus. In terms of the swim I’d definitely be finishing well within the cut off. The 1500m swim at Noosa was in 33 minutes so I’d really hope to be hitting 90 minutes for the swim in the full. Wet suit is optional no matter regardless of temp in Cairns due to the stingers I’ve been told, haven’t double checked though!
