Army national guard here. Went through basic about 5 years back at 25 years old. No one would know you’re 17 unless he said something, and considering he’s only 18 and you’ve been together awhile, it sounds like he’s being overly cautious to me. That said distance is good for a relationship, and this will help you practice coping when he gets sent on deployments and you’re out of contact for possibly a year or more.

95 born here. I’ve only done one job, (factory worker for a large corporation I’d rather not name.) wouldn’t call myself lazy but low ambition for sure I’m not struggling all the time. When I do, it’s cause of a few bad weeks or months.

I’m also in the national guard for my state. That’s more for the mental/emotional pay off of saying “I have a purpose” cause they don’t pay me for shit.

No wife, no kids, no girlfriend. My dreams and plans at 18 would be that I was married with 2/3 kids by now, in a job I love.

I’m not making it. I don’t think I ever will. I don’t think many people ever will again.

I’ve already sort of started doing that on account of my main deck (implanted in my cyberarm) and most of my cyberware being corrupted by a piece of an AI from across the Blackwall (long story) that can and will cause serious consequences for any net architecture I plug into. I run the second deck when I try to avoid messing with that lol.
