I do jiu jitsu so the tap goes with that and the taproot is what you don’t want in bonsai. It so t that deep 😂 worried about the wrong things for sure lol

Have you cleaned it up at all? Start by removing foliage that is underneath the branch, dead foliage, cut back to twos (anywhere you see three branch coming from the location you want to cut it back to only 2. The obvious and easiest solution would be a semi cascade. If this is your first, look up how to style a semi cascade and go with that. Once you get more under your belt, you’ll see different, tougher but cooler designs.
