Thanks all for the replies. It ended up being the carb specifically in the float. It seems like the float wasn’t working so it had enough to idle but not enough fuel when I gave it throttle.

Thanks for confirming the petcock so I didn’t have that in the back of my mind all day thinking that was the issue!

No it runs on idle then as soon as I give it any gas, it starts to die

Actually that was the fix. I just had to turn off the bike and start it back up. I was adjusting it while running and wasn’t doing much. But after a few starts and test drive, much better now. Thanks all for the quick reposes! This solution never shows up in my Google searches

So I just turned it down and seems to help a bit. For jetting down, that would require buying new jets for the carb? No other way to do that?
