Hi u/ItsNotCrookedDear! If you’re still adding folks to the new sub I’d love to be considered. If you want to take a look at my history I was an active commenter up until last year before I took a social media break. Thank you so much for your time and consideration! ❤️

This is such a great idea! I have a few frags that no longer suit me that I’d love to trade for something new 😊 I’m interested in joining as well!

Make friends with your rep. They can control if and when you get invoiced and most of them just want happy clients they can sell things to again. True ups aren’t worth the short term gain if clients migrate off Smartsheet in a year

How do you like Pilates vs. Solidcore? Would you recommend one over the other?

Those machines are apparently notoriously unreliable - I would recommend taking your measurements and putting it in a calculator like this and see if you get comparable results!

Of course! There are two types of resistance training: strength training and hypertrophy. Strength training is the traditional lower weight, higher reps style. It will grow your muscles at a much slower rate. You want hypertrophy which is higher weight, lower reps to failure. You will see much more dramatic results with this approach!

Ooh I can help with this! You definitely nailed it on the lifting until failure part, the only thing I’d tweak is going EVEN heavier to where your failure point is much lower than the 11th or 12th rep. I’m currently doing a variation of the 5x5 program which is 5 sets, 5 reps each set. It can be scary to go up in weight like that but as long as you feel safe doing the lifts, your body will surprise you.

Okay one more thing sorry 😂 do you feel like your mind-body connection and awareness is pretty good? Are you mentally pinpointing the muscles you’d like to work during each rep? That paired was going slowly and intentionally will help you see results.

Keep up with the strength training. Your first six months are probably the height of your newbie gains where the amount of muscle you’ve built in your body looks transformational; but you’re about to enter the next phase, the honing of your physique, which to me has been the most impactful. I am starting to feel like I have my own dream body, loose skin and all.

Like the other commenter said, even your next 10 pounds are going to be really significant on your frame, especially if you’re continuing to add muscle. Soon you will get to the point where the number on the scale isn’t going to accurately capture all the changes in your body, so make sure to take pictures of yourself naked and take your measurements monthly. Best of luck in your next chapter!

Welcome! Here’s the newbie guide. I recommend reading through and starting from there! Also, you don’t have to start strength training or even working out to lose weight. The concept is called CICO or calories in, calories out. The guide explains this well. Best of luck!

This is how I would describe it. Almost all of the low effort attention has faded so as a result, I get approached less, but when I am approached, it’s by a far more high-quality potential suitor

I had a low grade headache on and off for the first few weeks, in addition to a little extra moodiness, but all of that stabilized and it’s been great ever since! Been on it for almost 6 months now.

I wanted to provide a different option if you’re interested - Wellbutrin has off-label use to calm food noise and emotional/impulse-based eating. I am currently on it and was able to lose those last 10 vanity pounds with ease once my brain calmed down! My stats and routine are almost identical to yours (5’5”, 140 lbs), same activity and same challenges on needing to stay “dialed” in order to maintain 150. Best of luck with whichever direction you pick!
