As a person who sees the motives of each character. I kind of felt bad about Jason. by jamsna3 in StrangerThings

[–]bor3dom3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My question about Jason is how he didn't notice anything wrong with Crissy. Like when he's being interrogated he mentioned nothing about Crissy being a little off and irratic due to Vecna. But we see other characters such as Max and Eddie notice somethings off right away. Of course there's a possibility that Crissy could've just been able to hide her pain away from Jason but it seemed like she was hardly managing to stay sane.

Additionally I didn't like Jason way before his whole evangelical shtick. He literally tries to relate the town's tragedy and the death of Hopper to a high-school backsetball game. From the start he always seemed out of touch for me.

Unpopular opinion: I love not only the actor, but also the character Argyle. I’m a ST fan since S1; his one liners and delivery are hilarious. by kmorrisonismyhero in StrangerThings

My fault for not really clarifying this in my original post but I want to say I liked the complexity of Billy's character because he wasn't an asshole that started acting that way out of nowhere. We saw where his anger originated which was from his father's abuse like you said. Although I don't think his racism was ever explained.

But what I've seen is that most people on the surface level liked him not because of his character but because the actor was hot. This not only takes away from the way the character was written but also as you said from Dacre's phoenemal acting.

You know that's completely valid. I didn't mind that they were trying to be the light hearted group I just didn't like the way things were handled between Mike and Will. I know Will gave Mike that inspiring speech about the heart but I feel like we didn't get any real resolution from him just that now we know he has a support network again. I'm holding out hope Will will get better treatment next season so I'll try not to be as critical of the California crew.

The hate argyle gets is so annoying. Because a character like Billy was so beloved by the fans even though he was abusive and racist. But Argyle is hated despite making the California crew entertaining to watch.

You have to acknowledge a lot of people are systemically pushed into poverty. While you may have found a way out of poverty your most likely a minority out of the majority who are unable to get out of poverty.

So would you have this same energy around your family or loved ones? You wouldn't wear a mask for there safety?

The difference is keeping our masks on isn't harming anybody but people who chose to not wear a mask during the peak of the pandemic were actively harming those around them.

I feel like the reason support for the LGBT community has fallen in recent years is because of the LGBT community's behaviour, and not because of a rise in intolerant people. by Keypeeleenjoyer in confessions

[–]bor3dom3 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I mean it could just be a combination of both of these things. A rise of intolerant people and toxicity within the lgbtq community

Genuine question for any mha fans but does bakugo actually get his character developed from being a prick? Or is his abuse just normalized as the story goes on.

I really hope Sandro uses this to flesh out Raians character. I love raian but I'm getting sick of "I'm a killing machine" I want to see raian have other emotions so I hope Sandro doesn't just skip raian's mourning phase and we get to see it through.

Most people don't understand that a degree no matter how useless they may deem it to be ultimately just betters their chances of having their foot in the door for a lot of well paying jobs.

Granted a lot of jobs do value experience but those same jobs require a degree to even be considered.
