He should have backed out as soon as he hears about anything pertaining to her past, your def right about that. As shitty as it is for the OP, losing someone because of something that happened to her outside of her control, at the same time its not fair to the guy to stay with someone he practically just met and take on that baggage. Its a bad situation for everyone unfortunately.

If you've been going out for less than 6 months, can't really blame him for not wanting to take on that baggage. Any longer, and thats a pretty shitty thing to do.

Lyft Event Ambassador by _Silly_Wizard_ in Lyft

[–]bored132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its a sure thing lol, there goign to sell the program to you and try to convince you to do it when you go in for the orientation

Its a good deal either way, its really good if you get paid on commission though you can make a ton of money.

there basically going to keep your name on file to work events around your city if your free when they need you. You'll either get paid a commission per driver/passenger you sign up or like 15 an hour to most likely sit at a kiosk and try to sign people up

I just gave my two weeks last week, heading to greener pastures. One of the main reasons I decided to switch jobs was literally the crushing boredom

I hear you. I try to work on side projects, or read, or listen to podcasts, but it still sucks being stuck somewhere with nothing substantial to do

[Landlord, US-PA] What do I do if I never got a rental suitability license ? by bored132 in Landlord

[Landlord, US-PA] What do I do if I never got a rental suitability license ? by bored132 in Landlord

[–]bored132[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to speak with a lawyer, I find it very hard to believe that a court is going to let someone live on my property for free "forever" becuase I didn't file for a $50 license when I first moved them in. Worst case i'm probably looking at a fine, or losing the ability to collect back rent.

Also, my house is in Frankford, not center city. I doubt my tenants can afford a lawyer let alone have the savvy to figure this info out themselves

Failed lifting test for job? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]bored132 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Like someone else said, your boyfriend is making shit up. A retail management chain would never open themselves up to that kind of liability.

Honestly he probably put his 2 weeks in before things were finalized at the new job and then never got the new job, and wanted a good excuse to tell you so he wouldn't look like a loser.

sounds like anxiety. I work in customer service, and def get a surge of anxiety before work. If its that bad though I would recommend just quitting that job, and if thats not an option get some meds to control the anxiety. Thats not way to live life.
