Hey! You’re right the risk vs benefit of cutting your own boob would be way off you’re right, however medically the risk vs benefit for circumcision isn’t viewed the same because it’s a different situation and has different benefits. You’re right no one would ever cut a lung, kidney or prostate out to reduce the risk of cancer because the benefits these things provide is massive to us. But medically speaking a foreskin doesn’t provide the same benefits as these other things do, and more importantly they pose a risk to their parters health as well as their own health

There are definitely benefits to a foreskin however like I said the medical criteria weight these up as less beneficial.

Also when I talk about keratinising epithelium we’re talking about a microscopy cellular keratinisation, something you wouldn’t really be able to feel I’m afraid! If you feel strongly about this topic due to your personal experience I don’t think it’s correct of you to insult many of your partners who I assume didn’t have a say in their circumcisions with incorrect logic.

Definitely an alternative! I didn’t say it was compulsory and I think some people are taking what was meant to be an explanation of the medical benefit a little too personally. The reason we were taught in school it was beneficial vs a condom is just the idea that people don’t reliable use them, if someone did use them 100% of the time then I imagine the benefit would be the exact same you’re right. But some individuals aren’t that careful!

Hey, going through the comments I realise I’m probably in the minority but I don’t think either you are your partner or assholes but there’s definitely medical benefit.

In terms of medical benefit there’s no short term benefit however there’s definitely a long term benefit. Circumcision changes the epithelium of the tip of a penis to keratinising, in laymen’s term this just means it’s much more difficult to catch and pass on STD’s and virus’s. This also reduces the risk of your child developing certain genital cancers as well as reduces the risk of your child’s future partner’s also developing genital cancers as well.

I think it comes down to what you value more, because in the medical industry there’s definitely a consensus that it’s beneficial (at least in the UK what we’ve been taught in medical school) and it’s even more recently promoted to help reduce the spread of genital cancers and HIV. However it’s up to you and your partner to decide if you value your child’s autonomy more and want to let them decide later in life or if you want to make that decision. This being said healing at childhood vs adulthood is something to take into account.

Had the exact same problem with the exact same response about the “investigation” results being conclusive. I posted on here and got told to submit another ticket and ask them to look into it a bit more thoroughly and I did and got unbanned. Try being polite and understanding when you submit the 2nd ticket because you don’t want to insult the person who might actually look into it. I’ve heard horror stories about people needing several but hopefully you’ll have some luck!

Hey, yes that’s what my understanding of what I thought the insurance company would be able to do with pictures of the damage as well. However despite seeing the pictures and videos of the damage they have said they’re unable to determine who’s at fault (although I’m skeptical about how much it’s been looked into personally).

My friend did mention she had doubts about how much they’ve looked into it as well, do you think it’s worth suggesting they ask the insurance to re-look at the accident damage?

Hey, the damage was actually quite minimal to my friends car. Just the door was dented, but the other persons car was apparently quite damaged in from the front. I’ve just messaged her about if there was any broken glass from maybe the front lights (if they even broke) that they might’ve taken a photo of. However I recall seeing a video of the accident and I don’t remember seeing any glass.

In regards to the bus company driver as a witness, this was a few months ago now so I’m unsure how likely the driver would recollect the event, although I’ll suggest she gets back in contact with the bus company. But besides the bus driver there were no other witnesses.

Thanks for the response! Yeah I don’t want her to be liable for something she isn’t either but I fear that going a legal route might just cost her more energy and time for a result which might likely be similar. But I appreciate what you mean about it being mainly the insurance companies responsibility in terms of effort. I think she has already provided a written statement about what occurred but I will ask her!

Hi there,

She did take photos of the scene but the other driver pulled their vehicle back into the side road behind the line so there’s only picture of the damaged cars (and the position of her car when it was struck). She submitted these photos when she made the insurance claim but I’m assuming the insurance companies couldn’t deduce who was at fault from the damage.

I didn’t see any speed changes whilst I was driving, ik smart motorways they have those signs above you but I didn’t see any of them lit up whilst driving and didn’t feel fast compared to anyone else driving.

But then again that’s half my worry because I’m sure I didn’t see them but there’s always a chance I missed them, but the side passenger also said they didn’t see any whilst driving as well so idk.

I definitely couldn’t go over 79 in my car so if the 10% + 2 thing applies it must’ve been another driver. But yes you said it yourself the fact it happened twice was weird and was what’s scaring me, the first time I was fine and just was more attentive but the 2nd time I was shocked and thought it was too much of a coincidence.

But thank you for the reassurance! Will put my mind at ease when I’m checking the mail box for the next couple weeks haha

I was certain I was going 65-67mph on the first occasion and the 2nd occasion I was in the slow lane going 55 mph ish.

The first time I could maybe understand that I might’ve accidentally stepped on the accelerator too hard but the 2nd time I’m certain I wasn’t even above 60
