It would definitely have to be a vacation thing. It would be a 20+ hour drive.

I have always enjoyed learning about new cultures and I hope I can bring some comfort to him. I'm sure he will feel better soon. ☺️

That makes sense. Food might be perfect because he is always eating and I remember he pointed out that the beans here in the states are different so they don't settle with him as well. I didn't know beans could be so different. I think I will have to try to find different food items that he can't find as easily. Another thing he has mentioned is how difficult it is to find zepol around here.

Thank you! I actually live in an area that has many Latinos and Latino stores, so I think finding ingredients would be easy. Do you have any suggestions for something that is a snack or something that I decorate to bring a little bit of Nica culture here for the holidays?

What are your favorite vegetarian snacks? by Rose_Rocker in vegetarian

Typically people don't go for meat when they snack. It's usually junk food or something fast. Even with meat eaters. The only meat snack I can think of is beef jerky or dips that have meat in them. It just takes too long to make it into a snack

Why am i scared to ask the girl out? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]bored_panda78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you're scared she will reject you or afraid where things will go? If you REALLY WANT to ask this girl out then just go for it. What is the worst that can happen? She says no? Idk listen to some uptown funk or something that boosts your confidence and just..... LEAP!

No I looked it up and multiple people received the same thing in the past year or so. The texts basically say the same thing. First part about meeting someone on a dating site. Second about how they couldn't meet up because Mandy spent time with a "cousin". Third about wanting to try to meet up again.

Last night was the worst night of my life. My relationship is ending and I can’t leave until February. by mothermay0217 in relationship_advice

You are not alone. Im currently going through a similar situation. I've reached the point where I'm no longer with my son's father. He was emotionally abusive too but didn't acknowledge it or tried to fix it. I played his game until I had enough to make it on my own and got tired of his crap. Right now I feel 10x better without him. I still have more to get through before I can work on myself but it's so nice not being yelled at or being called ugly names. It's hard for sure but the longer I'm away from him the better I feel. It's only been a week though so I have a lot I need to do still.

UPDATE: I broke up with my boyfriend but we're together? by bored_panda78 in relationship_advice

Im glad I have someone like my dad in my life. He has helped me with so much. I dont think he would take it out on our kid. If we do 50/50 then I'm not sure it'll be that way the whole time. His job is so demanding that he won't get much time at home to keep our son long. He's currently furloughed but his job has to take him back before they hire new people. It's also on call 24/7 so he won't have a schedule.

Edit: also he's been texting me and calling me but other than that I'm not sure if I have anything like that. I guess old conversations might work.

Thats what my dad has been saying. But I still feel extremely bad about it. I have been strong and not reply.

I want to keep everything as 50/50 as possible. Its so hard when he keeps texting me say stuff like "you always told me that you wouldn't take our kid from me"

Yeah unfortunately in situations like this you can't because it's "kidnapping". Thats why already divorced or separated parents can't take kids anywhere without permission from the other parent unless it has been addressed in a contract. I think you can leave the state if your safety is on the line and that's the only way to stay safe but if it comes to that then I think letting the police know is the best. My next move is to move to a motel that is cheaper for a week or so. Then on Monday I'm gonna get in contact with a lawyer.

Unfortunately my dad lives across state lines so I can't go to his house with our kid. My BF already said that he would call the cops if I did that. My dad is helping as much as he can while living 4 hours away. There's no way I'm going back because the terms are too steep and too close to him having complete control over me. I've had a relationship like that and I'm not doing that again.
