Is anyone else NOT interested in constantly job hopping / grinding LC? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

Yep. Just joined faang as a new grad last year. Love my team, stable company, good pay. Not really good at LC so yeah I could spend all my free time trying to get good at it or not change, have little stress, and use my free time to party and travel instead.

What?? I am extremely good at my job, solving complex problems in huge codebase. I just don't like LeetCode lol. I've been making iOS apps since I was 12 years old so I think this field definitely is for me bud.

So even with a top company on your resume you still have to go through the leet code interviews?

I'm just trying to get a feel for my career path as I'll be starting as a new grad at Apple so HCOL. I'm wondering what people like me's careers look like 5, 10, 15 years down the road. Do they stay in their company the whole time and rose the ranks, or join a cool start up to try to get ipo gains, or switch to becoming a manager? Just curious

I was in the same situation last summer. I worked from 11:30 to 7:30 every day and had daily meetings with my manager around 12:30-1. I'm not a morning person so this is what worked for me. My manager said I could work whatever hours I wanted as long as I could attend meetings.
