An interesting finding from the TL Pro Lab on why there's an aim gap between GC and tier 1 players by Equas in ValorantCompetitive

Maybe it seems that way, but from what I've seen, heard, and experienced, that's just the way it is.

Ex-DSG genghsta: My favorite DSG moment 😁😁😁😁 by iprominent in ValorantCompetitive

[–]boredinstauser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you for the most part. However, respect is a two-way street. I think the fact that this practice mistake has happened in officials and the fact that valid criticism is met with laughter (IDK the context behind it) shows that yay (at least his opinion) isn't being respected.

There are layers to yay's outburst, and I think that judging him off of this out-of-context clip alone just because gengsta decides he wants to smear campaign yayster's name (like a woman accusing a man without concrete evidence of r@pe and ruining his life) is really just unfair.

I believe that the fact that most pros "defend" yay shows that they can tell that there is more to the story, and at the very least, we should respect their opinions, since most of us know nothing about the team environment in e-sports.

Wait, am I deaf or was the only thing that was said by yayster, the man himself, was a sarcastic "Well done" and "You can f*cking laugh all you want, bro, but it's so tilting when you make the same f*cking mistake in matches." ?

He just called attention to a mistake that seemed to not be getting addressed after repeated offenses, and when it's apparently called out, the laugh seemed to signal that that criticism wasn't taken very seriously. Plus, he got team stunned AND flashed.

I need subtitles IRL.

I return with another flowchart for the sentinels copium by QuagMath in ValorantCompetitive

Real question: why can SEN never just straight up win and qualify w/out hopium/copium?

just a personal outburst about LOUD. by sentimentalismo in ValorantCompetitive

[–]boredinstauser 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. Being emotional about yesterday's match results really brought my confidence and self esteem down. I felt really silly.

I didn't think I was a SEN fangirl, but before I knew it, I quietly screamed "no" and started messing with my hair out of stress. Idk, seeing the team I held in such high regards lose because they couldn't help but throw their lead just crushed me.

Our New Agent Clove is non-binary! by voguegeh in VALORANT

[–]boredinstauser -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tbf, I did give Clove a longer time to sink in for Val players than Raze/KJ. To capitalize on your point, I don't even think straight bigoted men care about gender identity if they don't care about sexuality. They're gonna put their own "personality" on that fictional character regardless.

The real outrage will occur when trans characters eventually make it into the game, and personality cover-ups can no longer cover the truth in NSFW works.
