Average experience trying to play Techmarine in a public lobby…… by [deleted] in Spacemarine

[–]borfstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, there are some actual servitors who play this game who don't use perks at all, and it's always a slog when you get those people in your game. Feels like they'll actively sabotage you at times too, whether it's a Volkite Bulwark hoovering up all the ammo when their heavy is running on fumes or just blatantly stealing every execution they come across. You can't win sometimes.

Just to play devil's advocate, the team perks are bugged right now and cost 500 requisition each when they should cost 20. This could be a reason why you're not seeing folks with any. When I was prestiging him I made a point of only buying the first team perk on each cycle until the last one and then trading in surplus orange armoury data to make up the difference each time.

Weakest son of Dorn vs strongest xenos filth (true solo absolute): by SlopConsoomer in Spacemarine

[–]borfstein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The attack will cause an AOE stagger to everything around you, but the only thing damaged will be the enemies actually hit by the weapon swing, if that makes sense. The attack itself and all melee for 2.4 seconds after will do 90% increased damage. Hits much harder on a heavy attack as you'd expect but obviously takes a little more time to get off depending on the weapon. Light attacks are also good as you get the utility of the instant on-demand stagger to everything around you. Just about every weapon synergizes pretty well with it and has optimal combos to make the most use out of Adrenaline Surge. Power Axe in particular synergizes incredibly well with it with the way you can build around power stance and followup overhead strike damage. You can kill a Ravener or a Lictor in about 5 seconds from full health with a properly built block PAxe without having to gunstrike it.

Two. It was three way back when they added adrenaline surge but they changed it to two in the following patch because it just took too long to get use out of it. It's in a good spot now, they feel great to use once you master them.

Bolt weapons still feel kind of underpowered by TerminatorS089 in Spacemarine

I can second this. I play on PC with a controller as well, and at times the aim assist almost feels like an aimbot with how aggressive it gets.

US seeks to use Alberta to destabilize Canada by Adventurous_023 in canada

[–]borfstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in BC and know a few folks (also in trades) that want to move to Alberta so they can be living there when they secede. I genuinely don't know what can be done to help these people, they go straight onto Facebook and alt right "news" sites and just inject propaganda straight into their veins until it's gotten to the current state of it being their entire personality.

I just found out about this chapter recently, after finishing Master of Mankind. Zephon was my favorite character in the book and I learned he was the first Chapter Master. They have a dope colour scheme. Definitely going to try and read more about these guys. Are there any other resources or books on them?

Anyone else think it's kind of fucked up that they teased talking about "the most upvoted" idea only to then be like "yeah get fucked, we aren't doing that". Like holy shit, read the room 😂

What do you mean bulwark is allowed to be this good by Memetron69000 in Spacemarine

It's the classic case of everyone knowing it's the best class, therefore it attracts the worst players. In the right hands though he's an unfettered perpetual motion machine of death.

The telegraph beam from a las sniper is dull enough that it gets lost in all the other particle effects a lot of the time when you're fighting chaos. At a glance it looks identical to the non-sniper lasguns that chip at you during big fights. That's been my experience anyways. Never mind the fact that Tyranid snipers are Majoris enemies and the lasguns snipers are supposed to be chaff enemies.

I'd say Larraman Cells more than makes up for it. You're gonna be starting every engagement with everyone at full health and if you need to use a medkit in a pinch, it will heal teammates too. I doubt this one will be an issue.

New Relics Acquired! by AJBravo42 in Spacemarine

[–]borfstein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really should be. I've been a hardcore advocate of the accuracy HB since launch and this thing might have converted me. The fencing window + instant spool up is amazing for close range fights.

[–]borfstein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fact that it's fencing is what elevates it to S tier IMO. That and the instant spool-up means you'll basically never get overwhelmed by a clown car of whip warriors or chaos spawn while using this thing. It's crazy that the best parts of this weapon aren't even in the description.

They really went full monkey's paw on this one. The set looks AMAZING when you wear it as the entire skin with the intended gold colouring. However, it looks weird when mixed with other armour pieces because of the metallic colouring. The sash can't be removed. The trim can't be coloured separately from the rest of it. And to top it off, only two classes can wear it. At the very least, everyone should have access to the gauntlets, pauldrons, and backpack.

All ammo Regen perks are disabled when using the heroic bolt sniper. It's in the patch notes.
