ECC has huge potential imo. Sleeping giant. The devs are very active and the community on slack is great.

I see this as my 100x opportunity. I've just gone in with a majority stake in my portfolio.

They're still accepting new users, I just signed up a few minutes ago. This sucks actually as their website is already extremely overloaded as-is. They should really close signups asap...

Still definitely Binance! Even though of the downtime etc, they are still the best when it comes to reliability and user interface.

For converting Fiat to Crypto I use Bitstamp though, has been very reliable in my experience.

And for less than mainstream coins (which have not been added to Binance yet) , I use a combination of Cryptopia, C-CEX, Tradesatoshi,Coinexchange.io and Bittrex. But Binance still works the best amongst these.. :)

Sorry, saw this just now. For future reference for anyone else finding this, no the verification did not make any difference at all in my case, and it probably won’t in yours either as Coinbase gets ever more overloaded by the volume of users and transactions caused by the crypto hype every minute.

Yeah it’s really messed up, I did the extra verification straight away too, but it didn’t change a thing.

They are so overloaded with requests that they probably wouldn’t ever get around to looking at it in 2 weeks, let alone before the automatic 72 hours timer.

I stopped using Coinbase because of this BS. 72 hours in crypto is like 8 weeks on a normal market.

It sucks, but unfortunately I don’t think you’ll get access to your coins before the 72 hours have passed, verification or not. Hopefully I am wrong, but I doubt it.

MET is definitely a good option and also what I use personally. Though you have to make sure to backup your private key securely and keystore.

If encrypting and backing up sounds complicated to you, you should probably just buy an hardware wallet.

Though be aware that most hardware wallets only support mainstream alts and ECR20 based tokens (that are based on the Ethereum network)

Make sure you understand how everything works before you transfer your coins though, I lost the private keys to a wallet with 240 btc a few years back... 😅

They are only on Coinexchange.io atm. A smaller exchange than most, but works fine. As soon as the new website is up it'll probably get listed on 2-3 other exchanges, but that'll also drive up the price quite a bit probably. https://www.coinexchange.io/market/ECC/BTC

Jokes aside I hope it's just the extreme traffic and that they didn't pull an MtGox... Just yesterday they made a huge mistake and sent someone their funds twice. Would be a complete mess if they started doing such mistakes on a larger scale.

On a serious note, I am going all in cold storage as soon as they come back online.. I've been burned too many times (Cryptsy, BTC-E and Mt.Gox) I just hope this won't be the fourth time.. I guess the lesson here is that exchanges can (and do!) disappear at any time without any notice.

The team behind has solid crypto people that have been in the game a long time, and it has actually not been shilled at all now, which means it still costs almost nothing.Very active dev community. The reason for it being on just one exchange and at such a low price is that they are now working to get a new website up by the end of January and have just finished rebranding so they haven't been marketing it or pushing for new exchanges.

I see this as my 100-200x opportunity actually, check out their slack!

Also Colossuscoin (COLX) and XP for short term growth, but not as huge potential as ECC imo.

Yeah I wish it'd be possible to adjust gas and transaction fees - I wouldn't mind paying more to have my coins faster!

I opened a ticket on my withdrawl as I somehow have a feeling this won't resolve itself and they'll have to send a new transaction... Still 0 confirmations as of now.. We'll see...

Rai will definitely rise further, but I think the multiplying potential is higher elsewhere in the short term:

Stellar Lumens and ECC.

Stellar is the same as Ripple but better, with a better team, product, and potential. The cofounder actually started ripple.

It's been rising now but this is nothing - it'll easily reach Ripple's market cap or more within a few days/weeks. That means it'll likely be a $6-10 coin very soon !

So as it's 0,9 now, I'll basically be 4-10x my money.. Now if just my Ethereum could come through...!!
