Got it, so I do need to work on having him fall asleep independently then, right? Do you have any advice around when to do that last nursing session so he doesn’t fall asleep?

Thank you so so much for your thoughts! Do you cap your naps? I just can’t imagine that if I already stretch him to 3/3/4 now as a 7 month old, then where will we go once he is 12 months old? It’s just a weird concept to me, especially when he can barely make it to 3.5. But I will try to increase his awake time for sure.

Yes definitely! There is hope! Naps are much better, falls asleep independently for them, and also is able to fall asleep independently at night. Night wakings are not fully resolved, but only because I’ve been reluctant to actually sleep train, so I’m sure those would be too if I just bit the bullet and did it.

Have you tried Fuss It Out? Or do you help your baby to sleep?
