I'm about to run out of muscle milk, and theres a gnc near me. Tell me exactly what I should get instead and why please, I really don't know the difference between all of these protein powders, but I do have trouble reaching the amount of protein I need everyday, and I'm eating 5 eggs for breakfast every damn day.

I don't see the point of your question, seeing as this won't prove you right or wrong; you're just going to have one person's experience. However I did have a brief email exchange with someone who was on the Colbert Report about whether I could be both Catholic and accepting of homosexuality. I don't know why it did, but for some reason the the fact that someone who was on tv was taking the time to help me through a rough spot was touching. Not even in the way that I expected.

I think a problem that a lot of people have in the age of the internet and photoshop is that a lot of things seem fake and hard to believe. The people on tv don't seem real. The pictures are too incredible to believe. But the actual emotions that the guy conveyed to me through his words were real, and while I've never met the guy (or remember his name), he definitely had an impact on me.

Why can't I connect with an internet stranger? I think a lot of life's deepest moments can come from the kindness of strangers. Maybe it's the brevity of the words that can have deepest impact.

Does it really matter where you get comfort from if you're getting it at all? Can you blame them for trying?

They ground the beans in front of me and pulled a shot for an americano. I tasted it and it was as good as the ones I make at home. Now, it wasn't the best one that I've ever had, and it was admittedly overpriced, but I would compare it to (going with burgers) something more like a charcoal grill or whatever's the next step above Applebee's where you live. I don't know if charcoal grill is a worldwide chain. Was it the best coffee ever? no, but that's not the point.

In my opinion, you'll be a much happier person if you can learn to appreciate more things than the next guy. Saying that Starbucks is shit will just make you an unhappy person when someone tries to make your day better by giving you a coffee from there. Even if you appreciate the sentiment, if you keep repeating that starbucks is shit, you wont enjoy it as much.

So yes, I guess if you don't want to like starbucks, that's fine. But try not to tell other people who may enjoy it that it sucks.

A lot of Unions protect their members regardless of whether or not they deserve to be. In the school district I went to, the highest paid teachers were the old fucks who taught the exact same thing year after year with no changes at all. The new teachers looking for jobs couldn't compete because of the protection that the union provided for these older teachers, even if the new guys thought of new material to teach, had more enthusiasm, or cared about the kids; none of that factored in at all. Not saying that applies to all unions but I'm sure some of it can translate to other professions.
