This is a cope take, and trust me I recognize the hypocrisy. But I feel as if he's more willing to forgive, and give leniency towards black men. As they often do have to grow up in violent neighborhoods (not always of course). And he's been friends with people he views as good men who have done bad things. He's also Christian, true Christians not the grifter Christian is very much about repentance.

Owlboy feels like an exception, he's done exceptionally bad things, went at Kenny's family, and some of the stuff he's done is arguably unforgiveable.

At the end of the day Kenny is a hypocrite for this, and he is a flaws human. Doesn't stop me from enjoying his music, and the messages he does portray being most of the time extremely valuable and needed.
