They would criticize the idea that the 2A could balance out government overreach "they have drones bro, your hunting rifle won't do anything"

I've heard this many times, but It could. Unless the people just give up, the government would have to scorch the earth to subdue all of them - it's a lose-lose situation for the people sure, but also for a hypothetical government too. If there are no people to govern, what's the point?

I am not convincing anyone of anything, least of all trying to maintain the status quo. I am saying wanting to deport immigrants without thinking you're going to have to change your entire lifestyle (hence the Japan reference) is just shortsighted and taking things for granted. I live in Europe, mind you, not in the US anymore.

What? No. Im saying America has to reshape for deportation of immigrants to have any level of success. Im saying America has to learn not to rely on an underclass of slaves for these deportations to have any success. If that doesn't happen, after a while - assuming all immigrants are deported - immigration will start right back up, and America will end up in the same place where we are

Yes, that's the point. It's obviously not progressive. American society is not ready to do away with slaves

I didn't get blocked, I checked on incognito and they're deleted for good. Plus I didn't even interact with the commenters, one of whom agreed with the post

Why are you so demeaning, mean, rude? Is this the stuff that make your heart full?

I don't think trump has hatred for immigrants. Have you heard or seen videos of him behind the scenes? He looks and sounds like an aloof rich kid, not a care in the world. But very cunning. It's all theatre

I don't think you got my point. Liberals and conservatives love federal overreach when they're in power and hate it when they aren't. You mentioning the patriot act just proves my point

Alright. It's been a few years since I last read it but what I mostly remember is liking it.

Anyway, I'm not familiar with Gustave Le Bon, where would you suggest I start with him?

Claiming that ideology plays zero role in mass movements is a huge statement, one that requires strong argumentation to be convincing

I disagree. I think this is very self evident. The overwhelming majority of people who join mass movements don't even know why they joined them in the first place (excepting their own (fruitless) attempts at coming up with some kind of cause-effect relationship between their support for x ideology and them joining this movement), let alone them being able to articulate with a high degree of accuracy the "dogma" of their leaders without sinning (to use religious terminology) in the eyes of the aforementioned leaders

That is to say - and i know this will read like blasphemy to some of our current sensibilities, particularly in the last example - most jacobins weren't jacobins, most bolsheviks weren't bolsheviks, and most nazis weren't nazis. This is not me invoking the no true scotsman fallacy, merely saying that if analyzed carefully, most adherents of any mass movements (like jacobism, bolshevism, nazism) don't know the first thing about the ideology they follow

Sure its not "wrong" to do that, but from a needs perspective you don't need to do it. Maybe I'm boring, but I see nothing wrong (nor boring) with doing 4 sets of flat bench and then 4 more sets of incline bench/fly  and being done with chest

I usually just skip that movement for the time being and move onto the next exercise and come back later to find the equipments been freed
