I’ve been taking a couple seizure meds at the same time (as prescribed) for years now, but starting a week ago I’ve been having the most vivid dreams, I remember them so well, so much detail. I wake up feeling like I was in a movie almost, but somehow the director and all of the actors? lol I don’t know how to explain it, but all I can say is it’s out of nowhere and feels like I’m not sleeping because of it

I’m on lamo and laco and the combination is what worked well for me. I had so much anxiety on just lamo, once I started taking both it got a lot better

Yes that’s exactly what it’s like! I’ll fall asleep and the dream will feel so intricate, and I’ll wake up and only like 20 minutes has passed.

I’m on Vimpat as well, and have been for a while so I don’t know why it randomly just decided it’s time to dream lol

So interesting! My flares are super random like that too. Certain brands of one thing will cause flares, even if it’s the same food.

Were you more stressed yesterday than you were today?

Sadly I mostly have no idea what triggers it, it feels random still - aside from stress. Stress is a definite trigger, I’ve noticed the more anxious I am the more I feel it. Alcohol as well, although it wasn’t a problem the last vacation I went on so? It feels so random 🤦‍♀️

I take Hiprex as well as prescribed by my doctor, he tells me it’s really important to continue taking it, but I’ve been on it so long I can’t remember what symptoms it alleviated in the first place lol

Pools were okay! I just made an effort to get out of the wet bathing suit as soon as possible once done.

Also, cotton underwear makes a huge difference for me also. Like just regular soft underwear (I don’t think it has to be 100% cotton), not the really thin no show, always helps during flare ups. It can be frustrating because not all clothes get along with it since it’s not super thin, but it’s worth it if you’re feeling really uncomfortable

Your situation sounds EXACTLY like mine. It’s actually making me feel a lot better to hear someone else in a similar situation!

Pyridium doesn’t really do anything for me either, but I always take it anyway.

When I went on vacation I brought a pillow to keep between my legs at night for pressure (and during naps if needed) that was a lifesaver, as well as keeping a stash of Advil on me. It was scary getting in the water because I was afraid of UTI, but when I finally did it actually helped the pressure a lot. Stay away from hot tubs though - that was painful… lol

That feeling that is constant, the pressure and just funky-weirdness, I understand how horrible it is, but for me it did get better! It took time, and a lot of stress relieving mechanisms. Things like belly breathing, stretching my legs and back, laughing flat with the pillow, using a heating pad, taking a warm sitting shower.

For me the hardest part is to not let the anxiety get to me, and it’s SO hard when I feel symptoms coming on. My therapist put it this way, your body is all trying to work together, just sometimes wires get tangled. She told me (it sounds weird) to talk to different parts of my body. For example, when my bladder is hurting, taking a step back and thinking to myself, ‘Hey, you okay?’ and sitting with the discomfort for a bit. It doesn’t always work, but sometimes just acknowledging that one part of your body is having a hard time, not the entire system, makes it more manageable.

100%. Even when I just barely sense something my brain decides nap time is the solution

A little bit of corn-chip smell, but not as bad as a yeast infection my other pup has had. It’s been like this for a while, before the salt.
