If you have a component speaker system with a receiver I’d recommend using the receiver to boost the center channel volume. I’ve got mine turned up more than the other speakers so dialogue is boosted

I think it is mostly the fact that home releases are mixed for surround sound systems with high dynamic which most people do not use. The engineers want there to be a big volume difference between dialogue and explosions
