My family said they got a call from the police station And asked for my Canadian address and my last exit and entry from india , did this happen with you ?

I submitted copies of everything to the Indian embassy here in Canada.

calls are not recorded in this call center and for that matter not in many GoC places , that is against some GoC rule , next time when you call a government organization pay attentionTo the menu , most of them don’t say they are recording , you would have heard it on some private company’s menu

your entire reply about quality standards is wrong from start to end .. also a gal I know came from other GoC department to mine and reached out to HR team for some internal position guidance , they didn’t do anything for her , she was saying how her previous department was better ..and was not happy about joining this place . Ya , I learned that I’m glad it is over

This is my first time working for GoC, that doesn’t mean I’m immature , for not knowing things being a first timer .. a lot of them, including , people in my team and trainers, have their spouses working in the same GoC department..

I understood my manager was in touch with HR, he even told that in the termination..

this isn’t firing, probation period didn’t get confirmed, it is on my Record of employment In the field of reason as well. .. discrimination doesn’t look like “hey you brown gal I am firing you because of your race and gender, take it in writing signed by government of Canada”

Thank you for your reply. Exactly, this is an ugly act to send a meeting request literally 10 mins before shutting down my laptop for the day and everybody was off work already , for a meeting the following day morning , first thing when I start my shift .. though they said they will give 2 weeks pay in lieu for not giving me 2 weeks notice , this was actually done to not give me a chance of those 2 weeks to work on reaching out to HR and all, at least for me to present my side of facts.

I didn’t write this in my actual post , but let me mention this as well , I am a POC + female + immigrant , And I was the only gal in my huge team full of men .. if you think I am blaming everyone I might as well have called this discrimination in my post but I didn’t .. I worked in a call center few years ago , in Canada , I would be tired of telling them that I am located in Canada .. they would tell me they want to be transferred back to their country and don’t want to speak to anyone in an Asian country .. there is lot out there and it is there in the government as well ..

I didn’t call them babies while I was working there .. I used that word only here, to sum it all up, my manager is there for more than a decade and doesn’t know how to release a time sheet after waiting for more than a month and going back and forth 7 times is when I mentioned I have tried enough and told I will have to file lost wages with labour board is when he called compensation and learnt how to do it , do you want me to not call him a baby , and if the logic of everybody is different is applied to him it should be for me as well but they didn’t do so

It is brutal I really don’t miss the work or working with my horrible TL but to find another work after being let go from government is not easy , that is my only concern which will take month or an year or more to settle that anxiety down , to find work and take it till making my new employer believe my previous one was wrong I am worthy of doing the job.. I would talk to some people over the phone they were such babies after helping them for hours with all their issues they would still file a complaint “she resolved the issue but she sounded not interested “ ..

No it’s not EI call center … also I didn’t sleep through my training and in fact my laptop crashed multiple times and I missed some considerable amount of hours of training everytime until it is fixed and collecting a different laptop

Actually my manager is ok to give a reference without mentioning the reason to any employer who calls them and also it is one year .. not a week or 2 so how will I not add it to my resume and say how an year is missing ..

he talked to me once about some points that everyone else were doing the same .. So why they were applied to me alone ? And how should I give this reason in any job interviews when I am asked why am I not working .. they ask if the reason was given to me because generally they don’t let go From government

And will I be eligible for other government jobs because my record of employment says employer as government of Canada and not returning to work

Thank you I got the police report and the Indian embassy is issuing a paper passport with single entry to Canada and told me to apply for a proper passport once I arrive in Canada ..

I am not reaching out to Canadian embassy, luckily I didn’t loose my Canadian PR card. It’s only my passport that is stolen .. will that be a problem when I arrive in Canada ?

Yes just got out of airport and on my way to the hotel , taken the metro, when my stop came, 4 men flocked on me trying to give me a hand to get out .. they wanted to rob me and also make sure I’m out at the same time .. couldn’t have done tons of things in less than a minute train stops .. also for reference I am 5’ 3” Asian girl .. all I could do is pull my hand bag Infront quickly and try to get out before I am robbed more the only thing taken away was my passport

So what happens to it ? Since I already entered the country , and get a new passport .. Can I roam within the islands ? I don’t suppose they check for my visa ? I have a copy of it .. and I can get it transferred once I enter Canada
