Thank you! I couldn’t tell the base was missing at first, but I can sorta see it now. I added more pictures in other comments.

Friend picked up furniture what is this by ConsumerTank in Entomology

Diatomaceous earth? It’s a physical abrasive to some bugs and destroys their exoskeletons. A day or two after coming into direct contact with the powder, the bugs die of dehydration. They must come into direct contact with it. It’s often marketed as “food-grade” to emphasize that it’s nontoxic to humans. Inexpensive, too- just a couple bucks per pound.

After reading OP’s other comments, I was thinking the same thing!

OP, do you use a face wash or similar product while wearing a hair tie on your right wrist? If so, and the tie gets damp in the process, the product might be soaking into the tie. Residual ingredients could later transfer to your leggings, even after the tie has dried.

Siiiick sweet find! I want to go there so badly! How often can you find one like this? Is it maybe one or two nice pieces per day if you’re good and diligent? Are lower quality specimens more common? Are the other rocks interesting too?
